question about new card "Time Bomb"

[card]Time Bomb[/card]. Uncommon. Rare Item. Pirate. Mechanist. This card is attached to the opposing character. At the start of the fight, the two characters in Battle suffer 5 Fire magic damage and this card discards. If the character isn't in Battle the moment this card is activated, only he will suffer damage.

I was wondering what does it mean. The line is a bit unclear for me.

My thought is if [card]Nut[/card] uses this, he will also get damage since he can only put it on his opponent at that moment CMIIW.
While [card]Klementine[/card] can put it on anyone in the play, so he can avoid damage by [card]detonation[/card]-ing it early.

Is it correct?

Hello,

[card]Time Bomb[/card] is not a craftsmen item so it always goes on your opponent and it activate at the start of the fight (that mean at the start of the next fight of your opponent), if you can't activate it before this character enter a new battle you will also suffer damage.

[card]Time Bomb[/card] will go off the next time the carrying character ENTERS battle, not the time it is played. If you don't do anything about it, both characters in this next battle will suffer the damage.
The trick is to use [card]Detonation[/card]. With this you can activate the Time Bomb on a character out of battle, if you attached it in one of the earlier turns.
