if i use crown to my char, and enemy use to lay bare, which cards win?
let's assume that i already have +5 attack from item, plus using crown, is my +5 attack going to be annulled?

To Lay Bare will take effect. The Crown only prevents the opponent's cards that modify your character's scores. To Lay Bare removes item effects, it does not directly modify a character's scores.

I had Crown of the Border on my Foam Giant and To Lay Bare didn't work on me.

Really? Wow! Hmmm... I dunno if that's really how the interpretation of To Lay Bare is, or if it was misinterpreted. Because if you think about it, the item cards on the character are the ones modifying the scores and not To Lay Bare.

Can any moderators or devs shed light on this?

To Lay Bare revert/change the stats on the character so Crown of the Border should work as intended.

If Crown has that effect, then it should also render the character's items (at least the ones that grant score bonuses) immune to cards like steal, devouring swarm, freeze, and smash that iron/wall. Now, was the crown really intended to protect a character's items or was that something the devs overlooked? I'd vote for limiting the effects of the crown to cards that directly try to modify scores and not those that indirectly do so.

I only know of gluttony/obesity. It's the only counter action card because sunburn only removes permanent actions.
