Gopher sinker and Pistolblade not dual wielding

Not much else to say.

The only time i've ever got it to work is if I chain them together on the Captain. Using it with Clover as a crafts to equip a pistol onto the captain, who has the sinker on her, makes the sinker dissapear. And not go to the discard pile. Literally dissapear from the game.

Its getting tiresome to see happen over and over. hmm

Probably because gofer sinker is a two handed weapon and therefore can not be dual wielded, unless you got three hands to hold all of em and I see not much of a problem here

[card]Gofer-Sinker[/card] is one handed weapon

"Of course they don't want that (adding more crystals to the game) to happen, because then the outrageous card prices would drop"

So MUCH stupidity in one sentence xD

The last time I checked that card was two handed weapon, I might be wrong but who knows..
It might be mistranslated or something..

Re : Gopher sinker and Pistolblade not dual wielding

I've dual-equpiied it with the captain if I chain the two together, but its the only way.

If its 2 handed thats fine...its half what I expect.

Text says one though, and I have dual wielded it before, just on very specific circumstances.

I don't believe its two handed, it only gives +2 Attack. hmm

I believe they nerfed the Pistolblades though. Used to be dual weildable with itself, but now functions more like Fistblades.

Just got out of a game where I had The Captain with two pistoblades on her.

While we're talking about Pirates, anyone else getting random discard screens?  I'm playing, then all of a sudden I get the message telling me I have to discard  a card, and my opponent didn't play anything special.  I had to discard a Flames of the Phoenix when fighting a Fog Snake... who played an Armed and Ready.

It could be then, that it is bugged with Copies/Multitasking. Whenever I use Multitasking, I can only equip one character with a blade, as the first one is removed after playing the second. Whenever I equipped another one belated after Multitasking it onto characters, to add a second to them, the first is removed as well.

I don't run Multitasking, so can't comment on that.  It just seems, in general, that the Pirates were released with a whole lot of bugs.

Obviously releasing a totally new game mechanic would cause a little issue here and there. I am sure Feerik's going to work on it today and fix some of the bugs. smile

Re : Gopher sinker and Pistolblade not dual wielding

Testing again

Still not working

Sinker and pistol will both equip IF they are chained by either the Captain or Poukos, but if played on seperate turns, or if Clover puts a pistol on Captain who has equipped the sinker, the item kicks the other item off.

Really puts a dent in trying to make a warrior pirate deck....

Re : Gopher sinker and Pistolblade not dual wielding

Correction: Had time to test it a few more times and play around with the combos.

Playing pistol then Sinker kicks the sinker off

Playing sinker then pistol allows both to be equipped.

This occurs whether or not its chained or not. Apparently I was subconciously playing cards the same way all the time....:/

Re : Gopher sinker and Pistolblade not dual wielding

Got some Multitaskings

Can't dual equip the pistols off of Multi. I'm stuck to spreading out the guns.

So basically, the only way it'll dual wield at this present time is to chain 2 guns off the captain....

Re : Gopher sinker and Pistolblade not dual wielding

It seems to be the craftsman ability that is causing the problem.  I've dual wielded the sinker and the pistol blade several times on my captain in every possible combination, including in either order on separate turns or the same turn.  I've also had it work on other characters, but done so less often.

When using clover though, the dual wield ability of the pistolblade doesn't seem to work at all.  Trying to attach the pistolblade to someone with Clover that already has a weapon doesn't work, and trying to play a weapon on the character that has had the pistolblade attached to him by Clover doesn't work.  I don't know if this is the case for all craftsman, or just Clover, as Clover is the only one I have.
