Pirates

Entering a new era i see, after craftsmen we now have pirates
I've taken a glimpse through all the new cards and it seems these new fellows will be very good against buff decks, either mage or courtesan etc.
Some pretty nice characters and effects, but i have 1 question, how will we know how many "Powder tokens" a character has, it was already enough with spirit/attack/defense/life now a fifth one?

Re : Pirates

Haven't tried them myself, but being a computer game, it should be just some new code to show us the number. Would be hell as an actual card game though... but then there's M:TG.

So, how many +1/+1 counters do you have on that thing?

I dunno, how many squirrel tokens do you have out?

Dual masters really, I think they have potential and need time or at least I need to see the higher levels of the cards. By the way anyone notice that zil no longer dominate level fives, this is because captain Al Killicrew has 4 upgrades, just like the shadow just no fusion.

When he levels up from level 3 to level 4, you have to choose one of two different versions of him. Like the two different level 3 Kararine. So Zils are still the only guild with a level 5 and a level 6 character (not that anyone wants to have to grind 8320xp over 4 characters which is the grand total xp you must get to make a level 6 abom).

Re : Pirates

wtf... the pirate's deck were barely introduced and the market is already overflowing with pirate cards, expensive but what's with the high numbers all of a sudden, well they just got a good flow of cash right about now, people bought like crazy
nice to see some people have money to invest... here 400 crystals cost like 4 euros and in Romania a monthly salary is like 200 if you're lucky, most have 150 euros
so yeah...

Pirate packs really drop first day exclusivity.

Bought some and got 3 pirate rares from 4 packs.

Re : Pirates

Jolly Roger?  Overwhelm?

I want a Pirate Golem.

Can't help but notice, (after entering all the info,) that all but two of the characters are, in fact, humans.

my friend lived 6 days with 16 euros worth of food when he was almost broke lol

my personal favorite card is weapon kata, it just looks awesome, not a bad effect aswell
Gemineye favorite as character card, the captain looks good but i think she'll do

And in Somalia a whole family lives with 16 euros worth of supplies (not just food) per month ... shall we care for all the people in the world ? ~6891000000 ... even if you wanted you can't.

Anyways ... the Captain + 2 swords looks interesting (7/10 +3 +3 = 13/16 talk about permanent ohk capabilities)

"Of course they don't want that (adding more crystals to the game) to happen, because then the outrageous card prices would drop"

So MUCH stupidity in one sentence xD

Re : Pirates

I think Pirates could have been a competitive deck if germineye bonus wasn't marauder only and armada was a warrior or they had better survivality...

I see warrior-powder based build as the only viable option, marauders don't have enough cards to make it worth it.

Captain is a monster, that 3 powder counters on each character is extremely synergistic with armada and flames.

Armada is incredible too, +7 on first turn and if you play at least 1 supplying she can get +6 or +9 on her second fight... and if you go first and have a supplying in hand you are looking at a +12 attack monster on first round...

Germineye is so-so, at least until we see more lightning based spells.

Clover is something this game needed, a craftsman hybrid with a good ability, at last. It's also incredibly good

The other characters don't have anything special IMO...

Pistolblade is amazing, Supplying is excelent, flames of the phoenix is usefull

Re : Pirates

I'm enjoying the pirates immensely.

Its hard getting the right cards right now, but even still the potential is there.
