Great card, just a little too great though. A graveyard stacked with items on an all hon'chai deck is nigh unbeatable. Three turns in a row the opposing player recieved a +15 attack, defense, and the health bonus. I feel this card should be unique, or have a max bonus, or only count items that are discarded by this card.

Or you use Anathematize to wipe out his graveyard. Problem solved.
Obesity also works well. There's been a post or two about this already. Read up next time.

Well If I were you, I'll use melody + QD in the first turn and nuke him with double magic poison on the next turn.. Just like double dipper said it's easy to work around hom'chai deck.
Play crow if you feel like this deck a natural enemy to you

Decks that focus entirely on the use(s) of one card are always at a disadvantage. They are easy to counter and mess up. Because of that, IHAS is not OP. You can easily get rid of it and beat your opponent before its actually used against you.
If you are having troubles against it, try putting one or two cards that can ruin the combo into your deck. e.g. [card]Anathematize[/card] or [card]Obesity[/card].

my opinion on this is biased... but you have to agree that putting something like anathesize in the deck makes it a worthless card against many other decks... that could be an assassinate or another card used often. Yes the IHAS deck isn't rampant... but im sure it has a greater win percentage than lose percentage if played right..... I would have to agree on the limit... perhaps 5... +5 +5 for one card is pretty nice seeing assassinate as one fo the most played cards is only +3-+4 attack.
Hors ligne
What kind of deck are you using where Anathema would take place of an Assass?
You usually swap the worst card or the most situational card in your deck for the Anathema. And i don't see an Assass being neither the worst card in your deck nor the most situational by far.
Hors ligne
Well it depends on the OHK capabilities of the deck and the number of Assassinations in it ...
For example I usually play with trackers and I have only 1 assassination and if I don't draw it on the 1st turn and try to OHM some .. lvl 1 mage I find it dead draw most of the time. (Considering that I play 3x Katamaru which works even better ... they usually target my Malyss at the 1st turn giving me the chance to use 3 spirited Hime pitting him against some unsuspected mage).
After the first 3 turns all my characters have at least an emblem or mask equiped so I can use firon for PERMANENT +3 attack so I have no use for it.
TL;DR in some decks Assassination can be pretty situational but that doesn't stop you from freeing 1 space for anathematize ...
"Of course they don't want that (adding more crystals to the game) to happen, because then the outrageous card prices would drop"
So MUCH stupidity in one sentence xD

In my experience, when I build decks I usually have 2-3 slots left over. I usually put in 1 Sunburn and 1 Anathematize.
Sunburn vs courtesans, Anathematize vs Action/Void/Bolt combo and Homchai.

true, sometimes we just feed our deck full and don't realize what cards are ACTUALLY useful.. we should get some empty spots after we do that,

If there's a card that you have to go out of your way to counter, I think that some sort of indicator that's on the OP side.... that being said why does this card give defense?

I know what you're getting at, I was of the same mind way back when IHAS was first released. But remember that the IHAS deck is a one-trick pony. Granted, it's a very good trick, but still. It can lose to Zil beats that don't bother with Anathematize; it can lose to Noz Mages on turn 3. It gets punked by Obesity. This thing, like all combo decks in all the card games I have played, is going to whip you if you're not prepared for it.
And again, it's fairly easy to evaluate which decktypes your deck can handle, which leaves your free slots as silver bullets for the ones you can't handle normally. The card-draw system in this game is similar to LotR and Warcry, which makes it fairly easy to run silver bullets.
Lady Jane can kick your ass.
