Building on a Budget!

Hi all! I am new, started not long ago, currently level 11.

I wanted to create a topic where good builds are sorted by the budget.
I mean, what's the best thing you can build with 30.000 crystals? And with 50.000? 200.000?

Currently my deck is a Noz:
[card]Pilkim[/card] lvl 3
[card]Eglantyne the Witchblade [/card] lvl 2
[card]Moira the Witchblade[/card] lvl 2

Cost of characters: 100+2000+100 @ lvl1; 2200

Spells:
3x [card]The Pen is Mightier[/card] 3x500=1500
3x [card]Than the Sword[/card] 3x800=2400
1x [card]Assassination[/card] starter deck
1x [card]Fireball[/card] starter deck
2x [card]Guardian's Benediction[/card] 2x400=800
2x [card]Ice Barrier[/card] 2x3000=6000
3x [card] Magic Attack[/card] 3x1000=3000
1x [card]Lightning Bolts[/card] starter deck
1x [card]Static Charge [/card] starter deck
3x [card]Unleash Hell[/card] 3x2500=7500

Total cost of spells: 21.200
Total cost of deck: 23.400
Results: around 1650 permanent ELO, but haven't played much. Works decently in Level rooms.

What are other decks that are build on a similar budget, let's say 40.000<?

Re : Building on a Budget!

I'm at work, so can't look up prices right now, but the Tracker deck seemed to be pretty cheap...

Amaya was around 100 crystals
Hime was around 250 when I bought her
Tsuro was close to 1000.

2 Shuriken
3 Tracker's Mask
3 Tracker's Emblem
3 Art of the Iron Fist

I believe these together cost me around 22K

3 Firon

I paid under 1500 for all three.

Yeah, the tracker deck is pretty solid for the value...
What results did you get from it?

Re : Building on a Budget!

I switched it up to take out Tsuro and put in Malyss...last 6 cards were 3 Katamaru (which were cheap) and 3 Ice Barriers (which can run a couple of grand).

I seem to do fairly well with the deck.  Two issues though:

1.  Quick strike decks that target Malyss first.  His built in damage reduction does not affect himself, and if targeted first by say, Talendar, you may not get a chance to build up your defense.  It will be based on your card draw.

2.  Courtesan decks build up better overall.  They have a better defensive build between manipulation and other cards...especially if Councillor Ishaia is around.  Again, it depends on your draws, and how aggressive you can get on the get-go.

Currently all 4 of my trackers are level 2.  I think my mileage will improve once they hit 3rd level.  I have to get the Watchmaker of Destiny to get Tsuro to level 3, which is what's preventing me from going more aggressive.

One thing I learned is be very aggressive with your discards with this deck.  If you don't see your next combat's combo, discard an additional card, especially if you're cycling Shuriken.  Plus, once you get shuriken, pitch your other chain card(s).

Re : Building on a Budget!

I ran the trackers on and off for about three weeks. they perform really well but get boring after a while. and once you get a shuriken the game is just about over.  katamaru works well if you run malyss and hime together. this deck always seems to fail to the pack tho. i havent run up against any abominations tho but i expect it to lose there too.

Re : Building on a Budget!

Against an equal level pack deck, not really an issue.  But my Hime just hit 3rd level last night, and the others are still lvl 2....so....vs. a maxed level deck...I tend to suffer unless my draw is very good to start....

Re : Building on a Budget!

What levels are you guys? and what levels can you win against?

What is the total amount of matches played, wins/losses? I am really considering to give it a try...

A courtesan deck is out of budget for me (manipulation, tea ceremony..), same as the melissandre-quick draw build..  Tempus is waaay to expensive too..

Need to find a decent solution for around 50-60k...

Re : Building on a Budget!

Surprisingly, Craftsmen decks seem quite affordable too, though I'm not sure how competitive they are.

Jorus was only 200 crystals, and Evil Jorusians are around 400-700 normally (though you will need six)

Arckam and Delko are both cheap.  Jayana is a little more expensive, with Ramen being the most expensive at around 2K.

For items, no more than 2K for each of the level 1's, with Hot Noodles being the most expensive.

Only Multitasking being the most expensive card being 10K each....so, you're prolly looking at about 50K for a full craftsman deck (Jorus, Jayana, then I'd recommend either Ramen for the Attack/Defense mods of his noodles, or Arckam for his item recycling hats).

Problem I see, which effective chains to use.  Multitasking is a little pricey, Smash that Iron/Wall gets rid of an opposing item, so decent, but Strike the Iron, though it can give an attack boost requires sacrificing one of your items, which makes the cost a little steep.  Protect the Weak can be an effective chain, so that your peeps stay alive longer.  Good Omen will be good for 2 out of 3 of your characters.  Blessed Bandage is a possibility...even in their third level, they are still a little fragile with 13 health and 2 defense being average among them.  I like to see 16 or 17 total or higher for my maxed out characters (Telendar being a glass cannon exception)
