The topic is debatable, some people have had more luck with 4 card packs over 12 and the other way around. Personally I get shit in 4 packs. Always.

Grunt, can you tell us how many 4-cards and 12-cards booster packs have you bought ? Have you made a detailled analysis of your pulls ?
If I show you a pull from a 12-cards boosters with Ishaïa, Foil Telendar and good uncommons like All Is Fair In Love..., does that means that 12-cards boosters are better ?

Are you really expexting him, or quite frankly anybody for that matter, to have a detailed list of cards pulled in various packs?
Nobody can prove any method is better than the other. Neither him nor you. People buy the packs, mostly dependant on what they are more comfortable with. Some players prefer at least one secure rare card, whereas others prefer the risk and gamble with the 4 card packs. Its debatable which method is better, as it is founded on personal preferences. The only people who will have an accurate % on cards etc is Feerik and I am damn sure they wont share that info with us.
Also your example is impossible in a 12 card pack. You only get 1 Legendary/Rare card, it it turns out foil it still remainds the one card.
