How do my cards get experience?
Characters
+1 xp per game
+2 xp for a win
+2 xp for a char that finishes at full health (not checked personally)
+1 xp per order activation
+1 xp if your char is foil
+1 xp if it's a Training room match
Items, Spells and Actions
+3 xp per game
+2 xp if used/activated
+1 xp if your card is foil
+1 xp if it's a Training room match
Comments
There seem to be a lot of myths around, regarding perfect wins or being alive and such. Forget that
Cards that activate your order bonus will give your characters more xp by doing so. "It is Time" and "That's an Order" at the moment.
I've tested (almost) everything of the above now. Please let me know if you've found out something else.
Thanks to all who contributed to this thread, it gave me some very good hints on what to look for. Especially Jarod's and SSD's suggestions on character-xp-gain were absolutely correct.

Per game: 1
Per Turn Order used: 1
If Foil: 1
If Win: 1
Perfect: 2
Character at full health: 2
So far I only know of these. :0
Training Room increases the Per game point to 2 instead of 1.

Thx, i will correct that training room thing.
I am not sure about that perfect = 2 but maybe someone will yell if he can prove otherwise

As far as I know the cards don't get extra XP points in case of a perfect. You just get more cristals and more XP points for your level.
For the characters we think it goes as follows: 1 XP point per game lost, 3 XP points if it's a win.
To this you add 1 XP point per order activated, 2 XP points if the character ends the game with all his health points.
If the character is foil you add 1 more XP point.
The training room also add 1 more XP point.

You definately get more with a perfect. With the same deck I would usually get around 5-6 EXP per char (foils, wins, activated turns, etc...) And when I got perfects I often had 7-8 exp per char.

3 for a win? And only 1 for training room and none for perfect? That's totally different from what i've read before.
Hmm, i see.. i'll have to set up a sheet and do some studies. Was hoping i could skip that, but it can't be that hard to find out.
Could somebody please do something like that who plays a lifeleech or healer type deck? My chars in my decks hardly ever have full hp
To bleachman: It could be that perfect games have a lot of order activations as well, plus win plus alive ... maybe that's why it seems more?

Anybody knows how the non-character cards gain exp? I remember someone told me action and spell cards in your deck gain 4 exp per combat, but i'm not sure.
Thanks.

4 in deck....might be 6 if played I can't remember.
If there were no luck in TCG, how boring would that be?

At least in the training room, perfect gives 2 exp. Full HP gives 2 (i only got it one time, but it was pretty nice)

I think that in case of a draw you have the same thing as when you loose.

might be true, that's about the one thing i couldn't really find out. Well, beside that full hp bonus, but i just believe you all

just checked, there no point for draw.
Hors ligne
Thanks for your help, i already removed it. I thought there might be a difference between a natural draw and a server-timeout-draw.
What i already found out and hate is that my chars don't get any xp when the other player leaves. Even after a few rounds played, not even turn activation or something!

my characters have stoped gaining exp whether win lose or draw, and their exp bar isn't full any reason why

do we know if the +xp for being used/activate counts if the card has no effect. say i am leveling sunburn and i use it with no permenent action card to remove. bonus xp gained or no?
Hors ligne
I'd say yes, since fizzling doesnt mean you didnt play it, but i am not sure. Give it a try Just check before a game and after and leave a feedback here, i will include it in the FAQ.

well i just did my 5 training room games for the day, got 5xp for the first three games when i used sunburn to no affect and 3xp for the last two.
are we completely sure you get an extra 1xp for training room games for non-character cards? cause i should have got 6xp the first three games. and tried just discarded a couple games to make sure it wasn't some weird half-xp bonus for using it to no affect rule causing me the get 5 the first games.

It seems the new XP system is now in effect forever (although XP gains are no longer doubled), which is:
9 XP for a win and 3 XP for a loss. One of my characters got 11 XP, presumably because he had full health when the fight ended. Can anyone else confirm this?

Hi. I'm new to this and exploring this game for a little relaxation (but it gets pretty addicting). I just want to understand what benefit is received if cards gain XP. Does the XP actually help in the game?

Yes it helps loads! First and foremost, most if not all characters gain levels and get better stats. Some characters can go up a few levels and some even merge to become new characters.
Some action cards, spells, and item cards also gain levels or need experience to be used in gaining some character's next level.

So it appears to be +6 XP for a loss, +12 XP for a win. Still the +2 for full health.
That's what I've seen anyways.
