The 99% Winning Zil deck (Rules in everywhere)

The deck rules in tournament. Now it is time to reveal some secrets:

Characters/Price:
[card]Abomination[/card]  Lv 6 ~500K
[card]The shadow[/card]   Lv5 ~100K
[card]Telendar[/card] Lv 3 ~30K

Actions/Price:
[card]A new Start[/card] X1 ~150K
[card]Assassination[/card] X3 ~35K
[card]Dark Light[/card] X3 ~100
[card]Dagger Master[/card] X1 Lv 3 ~50K
[card]Fist Blade[/card] X3 ~20K
Chain [card]Time to Die[/card] X1
[card]Nehantic Stone[/card] X1 Lv 2 ~8K
Chain [card]Journey[/card] X1
Chain [card]Knackered[/card] X3 <== Ideally

Optional cards
Chain[card]Fly off the handle[/card]
[card]Golemarlok[/card] <> [card]Telendar[/card]

Some many cheap chain cards, pick your own.
Much more combination, you build your own deck!

Price:
~800K

Tactic:
The shadow booms with Dark light, usually 13+ dmg. [card]A new Start[/card] Can be X2 or X3
Time to die + assassination + [card]Abomination[/card] = 1 hit KO most of the cards (usually 18+dmg).
When you are out of cards, cast a new start and you may start booming again.

Result:
Most likely, you win all games.
Bad luck, all dead, you still win with higher damage.
Worst situation, you loss.

Why do you have [card]Dagger Master[/card] in there? all i can see dagger wise in your deck is 3 fistblades which arent dual wield...

Re : The 99% Winning Zil deck (Rules in everywhere)

I'd drop dark light and A New Start.  You choose which dagger you want, but I'd go with lvl 2 life dagger.  A Warrior's Fury is a good option too, and a staple in most top tier Zil decks.  You either going to win or lose by the time you need a new start, so its a waste of space, imho.

Zil decks win or lose in 5 rounds...ANS isn't helpful

Nither is dark light. Only shadow uses it and it means youre throwing away cards...which you need.

You need 6 daggers, Dagger master, and Pound cards consisting of 3 Warriors fury, 3 Assasinate, TTD, and 1 Best Defense. Thats the staple deck.

Thats 14 cards, the rest are flavour cards to combat certain decks that you find troublesome. Diversion, Obeisity, Scrolls of Immo, etc.

If there were no luck in TCG, how boring would that be?

Time to Die, The Executioner's Trophy card.  Doubles the damage bonus given by the next card.

Somewhere between happiness and dreading the Apocalypse.
See where your character cards stand against the full list.

To be more precise, it doubles the attack bonus the next played card gives. Meaning if the card firectly adds +2 attack, it will add +4 instead. Cards that revive cards rom discard piles, such as Hungry Void, do not benefit from TTD's effect.

Rathedan. Dark Light is amazing in tourney. Because when the other start, he choose The Shadow mostly and with that spell, The Shadow can kill in one blow.

Hmmm, imagined a situation. Oponent plays first, chooses shadow, and play treacherous, killing your dark light big_smile

Re : The 99% Winning Zil deck (Rules in everywhere)

Dark light hits at best for what...+5? And you discard your entire hand to do that. Meaning you're tossing mostly useful cards away. If you have an assasinate or two in your hand, how can you justify tossing it for +1 damage?

Dark Light is a +5 card at best turn one for the shadow

Having 3 Assassinates, 3 Fists, 1 TTD, and one Defense means you have these better possible combos:

Assassinate + Fist blade is +6
Assassinate + Time to Die is +6/+8
Time to Die + The Best Defense is +6

Theres both a 15% chance of drawing at least one fist blade or assassinate (3/20) in your starting hand, and a 5% chance for each TTD and Defence.

The probable outcomes of drawing 2 of the 8 cards above in the starting five and being able to use them on the shadow are at least as high (I only did rough probability...don't quote me on that, but its close.) as drawing a Dark light.

Hell...drawing an Assassinate alone is the same %, and it's only one less dmg, with boatloads more possibility to chain....

If you're getting anything above +5 on dark light, its because of the ability to double discard and thats a bug thats been stated.

Dark light is a single character card, with very limited use, and forces you to discard more than its worth. I'm sticking by my words on this one.

It's pointless in a Shadow/Abom/Telendar combo, and only partially worthwhile in a Shadow/Abom/Golemarlok combo.

Re : The 99% Winning Zil deck (Rules in everywhere)

Ya, the original stated zil list is pretty poor. Makes me wonder if he's ever run it in a real tournament or elo room. Rathedan was spot on with the 14 cards or so he mentioned. As for flavor cards, I like DSH, Storm, Camp, Bunny, Hungry Void, Obesity, maybe some Kot hate instead of Camp. Nothing too original, the stuff just works. It gives you a fighting chance against Noz mage (Close to 50%, depending on noz deck and player) and a better than 50% win against Kot warrior. Those are really gonna be your two toughest matchups.

50% because in 90% of all cases Noz starts Noz wins Zil starts Talendar versus Prophet results in dead prohet and a Zil win.

Re : The 99% Winning Zil deck (Rules in everywhere)

That deck really doesnt scares me. I have a courtesan deck:

Lord Galmara (Shadow Guemelite)
Oogoe Kage
Khimiko

3x Three Cheers for our champ
3x Tea Ceremony
3x Overwhelming Power
2x Manipulation
2x Voodoo
2x Lapdance
2x Seduction
etc.

these are the most important cards... if i play "voodoo" and "three cheers for our champ" at the beginning i almost kill one character... if i have the luck to play it at second round i almost kill another character... and then comes "khimiko" to do the dirty work: kill the remains of the first two characters. I'm only afraid of the Noz! If these decks are well build they beat me up hard! And the newly ones Sap Hearts that uses Items Have a Soul and its really hard to see!
