2 Sword of 5 Elders (enough imo)

1 The best Defense

About 60:40 in non elo-play, it's not very competetive and I run it only for trophies and leveling some chars. You can vary a bit by adding Yilith + Divine Light + Oath of Faith instead of Aez+Swords+Shells or Quilingo/Kronhan instead of the other heavy hitters - whatever you need at max lvl smile

Why not? You want cards that chain and your choices are somewhat limited. I don't like Smart Ass or Weapon Dance since your equipment gives you enough offensive power, you just need time to set it up. Furthermore it helps you get Life Devourer's bonus and is a nice chain with A New Beginning...

Gotcha.

See, I'm TRYING to make this competitive. Though I'm trying to find a good way to counter spells, as any kind of deck that relies on physical damage can be dealt with easily with all the healing, item defense and Tadaa! You're a bunny-s.

Life Devourer is a neat idea, but why? Cause it gains health? I only ask cause I think (correct me if I'm wrong) but wouldn't Foam Giant be the only one that would be able to chain it? Is it that good?

Any ideas?

A solid Noz take will take you down with no trouble, I wouldn't care about adding any specific counters since I don't encounter those a lot, but you can switch It is time for some Deflections if you want.
Get some Life Devourers, you will enjoy playing them (in a lot of decks). You can only chain them on Foam Giant, but that's not a big issue. And don't forget that those can be dual wielded.

What's an example of a solid Noz Deck? I've taken down plenty of Noz Decks with my previous Kobota deck, and I think this runs pretty much the same way only with more life gain and no Blast Off. Thing is, Mercs seem to have better, more solid characters, with Foam Giant, Hares the Runic and Aez being three of the more solid characters in the game, from what I can tell anyways.

You could also dump the three Shells and toss in any of these cards:

[card]Forge Your Destiny[/card], [card]In the Nick of Time[/card], [card]Camp[/card]

Forged Your Destiny will offer your human Mercs a little chance against those pesky mages as well as buff your defense too. In the Nick of Time enables you to instantly activate any of your item cards, which is nice with Devouring Daggers for +3 and possibly heals. Camp is a great healing card, also can be used in teh same turn as offensive opposing spells to sooth the wounds and possibly keep your guy alive.

Proxi's build is rather sturdy and has more chances at winning than your version would. Playing a purely defensive warrior deck wont net you a win, you will need to be slightly aggressive, so use that to your advantage! If you do play Foam Giant, remember he can use items of any guild as well. Maybe tossing in a [card]Firon[/card] or two would help enable some huge bulk of damage on your side.

Damn. Yeah, more offense would be good. How can Foam Giant use any item from any guild?

Also, I don't have access to the cards you need Feez for...well, not yet anyways. I honestly never even thought about going after any of them and going after them NOW will probably take me awhile. hmm Stupid, I know, but...eh.

Also I would LOVE to use Frion, but (as you said) only Foam Giant can use it and having a card in there that only he can use makes me kinda wary.

I DO like the idea of Life Devourer though, and plan on netting me some as soon as I can.

Honestly I would, but the deck heals like mad as it is. Solaris is nice, but not really all that needed, at least at this point in my decks career. But then again, halving my opponent's defense IS really nice...

Oh, and I decided on 3 Tadaas. The card makes Kimiko a massive threat IMO, because it basically guarantees her 2 damage across the board unless they find a way to deal with her. Every time she walks away from a battle is another guarantee that she's going to damage all their characters. I like that guarantee.

I took out The Council's Decision and added in 2 Obesity. I can't tell you how much that card has saved me. So now the deck looks like this;

I'd like to get Councilor Ishaia, but is she worth it? Granted she's a great target to use Manipulation on, but the rest of her stats are pretty lackluster. Is there any real reason to use her besides her being great to use Overwhelming Victory and Manipulation on?

I assume your two word answer is my "reason" to run Councilor Ishaia, which isn't really a reason at all. I believe I've stated I'm wary of running cards only one of my characters can use, and while the effect is appealing, +1 defense and nothing else doesn't compel me to save up over 200k to snatch up our good Councilor.

the reason Ice Barrier is his answer is because a lvl 3 Ishaia gets a +1 on both damage and effects on any spell she plays. Meaning Ice Barrier gives +2 defence on every character, if you play up to 3 of those you get +6 defence.

Open the game with 2 ice barriers and you can pretty much guarantee you aren't going to lose to raw physical damage.  Follow that with Manipulations and OV's and your Court wall is built.  Sorry to the brief answer, I guess.

I actually have cards for both, except for Tadaa, but that's because I ran out of funds. hmm So sadly, I do not have 6. But someday.

And thank you for the information on Councilor Ishaia, I guess I missed that. I apologize if my response was brash, as I've played many other TCGs and have gotten similar responses, usually followed by rude answers because I didn't see the connections. hmm

But I don't see myself getting Councilor Ishaia anytime soon. Maybe someday.
