Re : Trophy hunting causes poor sportsmanship?

I;m getting mine easy enough for the game % i'm playing, almost there...

Still though...the blacklist of poor sports are growing....I'd rather leave and give them 0 xp from now on then ever play them again

If there were no luck in TCG, how boring would that be?

Re : Trophy hunting causes poor sportsmanship?

Did mine 30 with Old school dragon knights (simple Kounok, not Prophet version). The key is having a lot of healing in the right moment (dragon armor) and ability to lower your own defences (draconium).
Also there was some great guys who did everything to help me do this event.

Did mine with nomads.

All I did was focus Solaris on one character, using the other two as heavy hitters to clean out the opposisiton.

Checked all  past trophies, and all trophies what had "win X games" in them was about having some types of card in your deck, so it wasn't dependent on oponents actions

The Lycanthrope Didn't count abandons toward points either.

Re : Trophy hunting causes poor sportsmanship?

I had a funny experience with that event.
The guy only one card left - I forget which - and I had Bigrage and Dark. He had about 5 health, compared to Bigrages 8 or so and Darks measly 1. It's his turn to choose, so he chooses Bigrage, presumably to thwart my effort at getting an event point - he didn't have much chance of killing Bigrage as his attack was too low, and Bigrage would have killed him.

So I played Counterspell big_smile

Needless to say, his character survived, and then I played Dark against him. I was sooo elated. I'm actually surprised he didn't quit at that point.

Re : Trophy hunting causes poor sportsmanship?

A lot of people got this trophy on day one with a 3-priest deck and simply kept their characters alive long enough to deck out. If that isn't poor sportsmanship, then what is around here? Seriously, the trophies need to encourage sportsmanship, not give players a reason to exploit loopholes in the system.

Re : Trophy hunting causes poor sportsmanship?

So much complain about these 2 last trophies.

Sure, leave the game to not let your opponent get a point IS a example of poor sportsmanship.

But play by the rules, and make a deck to survive 7 or 8 rounds, and get 3 points ISN'T.

Re : Trophy hunting causes poor sportsmanship?

Maybe a solution would be to create a room only for trophies?

Re : Trophy hunting causes poor sportsmanship?

Well, there are 3 side to the debate:  1. Playing high attack decks in order to get priest kills points.  This almost always ends with your opponent getting zero points.

2.  Play a 3 priest build and decking out after 5 turns in order to get 3 points.  Opponent gets zero points.

3.  Play with a friend priest vs. priest.  You kill all his characters, all yours survive.  Swap roles.  That's 6 points each.  Play 9 games this way and you're all set.

You choose, be cut throat and kill all your opponents characters or deck out, denying points either way.  Or, come to the Engligh Eredan players chat and play with friends who will help you any way we can.  We're all about it.
