Re : Stall/Discard Decks

Discard decks are built around [card]Theft[/card], [card]Disguise[/card], and [card]Treacherous[/card]. You can literally throw away all your other cards, so long as you play either a theft or a disguise/treacherous combo each turn. Most people beef up thier defense with [card]protect the weak[/card] chained with theft.

If you can last 6 turns, you can win the game.

Stall decks run on the idea that with enough healing and/or defense, that they can outlilve you, while not killing you, but forcing you run out of cards before they do.

Both are viable parts of the game, and yes boring, but beatable.

Win or not, makes for a boring game.  I'm starting to see them run O!IG now, too.

Re : Stall/Discard Decks

If they're running a discard deck, that means that all thier cards are focused on you using/discarding. They can't beef thier attack up, they can't do anything else, or fear they run out of cards first.

Playing combos is bad versus discard. Play one card, discard your chains when forced to, use your gamebreaker combos as soon as they come up. Playing one card per turn screws up the gameplan and leaves them scrambling when you do more damage than them and have more cards than they do tongue

I hardly ever lose to discards.

Heal decks on the other hand...well...I gotta pray to get big hits hmm

Yeah, I just try to throw a few items on early, baring O!IG, that is.  I almost never lose to them, just hate the wait, lol.

Re : Stall/Discard Decks

the card[card]anathème[/card] is very handy to counter the stall deck.

Because this deck discard a lot of card if the game's hand is not good. And the opponent will not use effectively the legendary card [card]un nouveau départ[/card].

(sorry I don't know the english card's name)

Re : Stall/Discard Decks

and heal decks hate OneShot decks like Zils, which can make 15-more damage on first turn, so everything has it opposite in the game.

Just up to you to play the game and to learn how to face each deck

Re : Stall/Discard Decks

Yep.

It's not entirely Rock-Paper-Scissor-Lizard-Spock, but it falls under that sort of play. Some decks you're strong against, some you won't be.

Re : Stall/Discard Decks

As the game evolves, more strategies will emerge and the rock-paper-scissors thing will become less evident.
