Buying Packs

Is there no other way to buy packs then to obtain Fee'z?

Re : Buying Packs

Nope, its kind of bull crap.  But you have to think that the people who designed the game are running a business.  They have to reward those who are willing to spend money on a free game, and punish the rest for being cheap/underage.

Re : Buying Packs

It's called operating costs.

Servers don't run for free. You like the game, contribute to its upbringing.

Re : Buying Packs

I understand overhead costs, but for the real cash system to be the only reasonable way to get ahead in the game can be a bit dissuading to some.  Tournament prizes, events, trophies; these are all opportunities to reward players.  The game isn't only funded by Fee'z buyers, but by the amount of users playing.  I'm not saying that I don't agree with the system, I've bought a few packs myself, but I'm lucky enough to be able to do that.  The cash systems, paired with the ridiculous prices in the user run market are enough to scare off all but the more interested players.

On the other hand, we all know how shaky the  game can be at times, and the only way to improve that is to fork out some mullah so the operators can upgrade the system that the game is running on.  Anyone know what kind of processor they're running?

Re : Buying Packs

I *try* to prentend that my CCG addiction is replacing my MMO addiction. If I'm paying 15-20$ a month to play online games, I can fork out for a pack a week instead smile

God only knows what I'll do when ToR comes out though.

But you'll might see more "free" options as the game progresses, maybe to the second booster pack. Fallen Sky packs might become 10,000 or 20,000 Crystals and the new booster would be cash or something. I've seen a lot of games do that.

Re : Buying Packs

I hear ya on the CCG addiction.  I played MTG for about 10 years before I joined the army.  It's easy to just fall back in, lol.

Re : Buying Packs

I actually sold my collection just a few months back.  Too tempting to start playing again.  That, and they were just collecting dust.  I haven't played since I think Onslaught Block.  I can't remember exactly when I stopped.  I'd been playing since 1995ish.
