December 20th: Last Tournament before the End of the World

You have until Wednesday December 26th 2012 at noon (French time), to take part in this trophy, after that it will not be available anymore (the world will have ended by then!)

Proceedings

This free tournament offers you a new way to compete. When you register, you receive a Deck picked at random among the 8 Eredan iTCG guilds.

- This Deck contains 3 characters and 100 cards (10 copies of a card x 10).

- You can only play it during the tournament.

- It cannot be edited nor deleted.

- The Decks made for the tournament will be deleted at the end of the tournament.

- You will also get 15 Coins of values that you can use to buy another free deck from the Apocalypse store.

Special rules:

- Each time you play a card from the Deck specially made for the tournament, it stays in game but it cannot be used for the next fights. Therefore your Deck will empty little by little.

- The Deck becomes unplayable when it contains less than 20 cards (characters exclusive).

- You obtain a Coin of value when you gain a victory having played 6 cards or more.

- The cards played will not be deleted if your opponent leaves the game before you have played at least 6.

Rewards

Here are the lots at stake for the tournament:

From the 1st to the 3rd: The Survivor trophy + a Stone Linker pack*.
From the 4th to the 50th: 1 NewComer booster.
From the 51st to the 150th: 2.000 Crystals.

What can I win during this event?

You can spend your Coins of value in the Apocalypse store to:

- Buy one of the eight tournament Decks worth 15 Coins of value.

- Buy the Cataclysm card worth 50 Coins of value.

You need more Coins of value? You get 15 free Coins of value in each 12 card booster. You can also get 15 Coins of value for 199 Fee'z.

Cards and trophies for the event

The Survivor trophy: Obtain the eight different Decks of the Apocalypse event. You will gain The Survivor title and [card]The Survivor[/card] card.

[card]The Survivor[/card]. (1 evolution in all). Mythical. Character. Mercenaries. Warriors. Unknown. Spirit 1. Attack 5/8. Defense 3. Health points 15. Gain Chain if you play a One handed Weapon. Attack +3 and Defense +1 for each one of your dead Allies. Turn 5 and more: Heals 2 Health points.

[card]Cataclysm[/card]: Collector, Unique, Action. Deals 6 direct damage to all the characters (dead or alive). At the end of the turn, you loose the game. .

*Stone Linker pack: this pack contains 2 copies of 2 characters (Catalyna, Master Maen), 1 Air Elemental, 1 Fire Elemental, 1 Water Elemental, 1 Earth Elemental, 1 Sorrow harpoon, 1 Ruble, plus 3 copies of each Stone Linker card, that is 46 cards (Temüjin isn't part of this pack).

that's why i cant a deck cause is lagging so bad...

yeah, i was stupid enough to refresh the page now its just stuck at the loading screen.

but i managed to win one match..
where nothing happened and my opponent timed out...

and there comes the maintenance o.o

The card is perfect as a finishing move for direct damage decks .

[card]Circle in A minor[/card] reduce the direct damage deal to your characters

Temple Guardian can use this too , they have [card]forced march[/card] to reduce the damage .  [card]Cataclysme[/card] becomes another [card]Superova[/card] . And remember that OP [card]Nebsent[/card] ?

[card]Cataclysme[/card] + [card]Powder Keg[/card] for powder pirates or [card]Cataclysme[/card] + [card]Blackness[/card] and [card]Ecstacy [/card]in play for nehant direct damage

Ignore the fact that the card is a double edged dagger , it can be a blast when used at the right moment .

And the game decides which player win at the end of the fight if all characters die , so no , playing this card isn't an instant loss for you .

Shaky , but interesting

You lose the game in the end of the turn anyway, no matter if u have characters alive or have done more damage than the opponent. It's a suicide move.

So if you buy an apcolypse deck then you lose it after the tournament is over?

not if it works like sentence.
Sentence deal damage at the end of the turn, but if the game is decided before it, the end of the turn doesn't occur.

So if you kill all the opponent character with the new card, I think you win.

At the end of combat, if all characters of a player are dead, the game ends.
If not, the turn continues with the discard phase then the end of turn.

If you kill all your opponents characters during the combat, you can win.

wait so you want people to win 90 games with decks that are constantly depleting in strength. all this in the run up to xmas when people have limited amounts of time to play? also buying a 400 fee booster only cuts the amount of wins i need by 15? thats 2400 feez if i didnt have any time at all and i still miss out on the other card.

thats a tough ask.

There are many fools now playing like 10 cards per game. After 16 games their decks would have depleted and with a 50/50 loss/win ratio, they would only have 8 coins.

The smartest way for this is to play cards ONLY when you are sure you can win. Play exactly 6 per game and this will give you 2x14 coins from the starting two decks. Then spending 15 of those 28 you buy a new deck and earn 14 coins from it. And so on until u have 8 decks for the character. It is a very slow procedure though having to win 15 games for a deck with playing exactly 6 cards.

And of course the cataclysm card you can't get without buying feez.

Is discarded card counted as played and removed from Deck? Hope not.

Another question: If Hungry Void is used to play an opponent's discarded card, does that count as 2 cards played or just 1?

It doesn't count.
But. Playing card from Discard counts. And sux.
Somehow this event feels like a big stupide. Can't shake off this feeling.
Not much of entertainment. Maybe Cataclysm time isn't so much of entertainment anyway.
