Let me clarify this... get another "New comers Booster Free" or get another "Basic" booster free? There is a HUGE difference here 
My guess is "Basic" booster (4-card)

When you buy a 12 cards booster, you automaticaly obtain the Basic booster. You have nothing to do.

just you basically get 4 free cards added when you buy any 12 booster pack, I even got 2 Rares, although one was phalanx, the other was that Cricket powder weapon hehe....forgot full name and too lazy to look in game right now..>.>
