Tournaments?

I can't find any information in English about how tournaments work, and I don't want to enter one without it. Could someone please tell me how they are set up and work? I don't want to be facing people 10 levels ahead of me and stuff.

Re : Tournaments?

sorry but you have no control on the levels of your opponents. all of them are free for all. You can find information on it as you enter the tournament room and click on details

Re : Tournaments?

Those "details" are not very much. I don't even know what Elo is tbh. I've read the wiki and it helps none. I would like to know how the tournament is set up. What if I don't show up two hours from now to compete in it? Am I scheduled to fight with certain people at certain times???
How can you register for a tournament after it has started?  I've seen where it says the tourney will start in 2 hours 10 minutes, registration ends in 2 hours 50 min, and the tourney ends in 4 hours and 10 minutes. I would also like to know who's competing in every tournament. Funny that I can only see a list of those playing once it's begun...

Re : Tournaments?

Tournaments are open for everyone. No control of level.
Once you are registered, you can play in the room against other registered players.
No draw, just random encounters with other connected players.
You can play until the time limit or not playing at all.

"ELO" is a classification inspired by the chess ELO system.
When you play against a better classified player :
- If you win you win a lot of classification points
- If you loose, you loose few classification points.
when you play against a lower classified player :
- If you win, you win few classification points
- If you loose, you loose a lot of classification points.

Re : Tournaments?

Well from my evaluation of tournaments in progress, no one under level 16 has a chance of winning against the more-experienced players. I have yet to see anyone level 15 or lower among the top 20% of a participant list.
Also, I still don't understand the registration time limit thing. A tournament just begun but now it is no longer listed. All of the tournaments have at least 40 minutes of time between tournament start and registration end, except for the really big one. That one has only 5 minutes (!!) between tournament END and registration end.
Since that one tournament just disappeared from the list, I guess no one will be able to enter it? Yet it did say 41 minutes left before registration ends when it was last there..
