i was thinking about the zil legendary card and how would i create a good marauder deck with him. I apologize in advance for the straight-forwardness coz, in fairness, it's hard to create a zil beatdown without being a little cliche aniways.

[card]telendar's black blade[/card] x2 (i'm hoping it will become zil and it's just an experimental idea)
[card]dagger master[/card] x1
[card]at daggers drawn[/card] x1
[card]hidden blades[/card] x2
[card]time to die[/card] x1
[card]offensive[/card] x1
[card]it is time[/card] x1

fillers
[card]artrezil's heritage[/card] x1
[card]dark stone heart[/card] x1
[card]difference of opinion[/card] x1
[card]capture a karukai[/card] x1

the basic idea couldn't be simpler: hack and slash + support by dagger master.
the dawnside is that it lacks defense immensely and there isn't much to do about it without reducing the offensive too much. i chose telendar over abomination for the chain "abuse" in exchange for resistance. the game's suppose to be over by the 4th, 5th turn at max (with either outcome). i don't like beating around the bush too much anyway

at the same time the fillers try to make up for it by breaking the some of the main opponet strategies through avoiding spell damage/curruptions completely or breaking the opponent's turn order and killing the stronger link etc.

othe options could be stirring up hatred, living dagger and chink in the armor.

i hesitated between telendar and abomination. but I finally chose the second...
(I hate to have to choose betwween saphyra and telendar's order bonus...)
I like throwing in a few assassination...(helps if dissidence is played)
I don't play the same dagger as you
I play: 3 artrezil, 1 shadowblade, 1 fistblade and 1 dagger of sufferance(will be replaced by the dager of telendar)
I also play 3 hidden blades (thinking about changing one with [card]Rain of arrows[/card])
I don't play offensive. it's only effective played by telendar...
I don't play dagger master anymore.
but I threw in some [card]Stirring Up Hatred[/card]
I suppose it is time is here for the combo dagger laster+it is time on saphyra...
I would really pput those two carsd out if I were you...

offensive works on saphyra too, on her turn other her attack bonus is already +5, the +2 from offensive and maybe +4 from master assassin

edit: i checked on your deck now, it seems to be a very interesting idea too

funny there's ni [card]zil, the living shadow[/card] for sale yet though...

Also what has a better chance, the newcomers booster or the zil one...

Just thinking I wanna start a zil deck and while the boosters are on sale it might be a good time

might be agreat time indeed, i'd get a couple of zil booster and at least one of the nexcomers for the slightly higher chance of getting legendaries over the normal boosters.

i have a question though, i'm using shadow blade as of now but i can't make on how it works, does the damage effect aplly after the fight before the turn counter change? in all of the situations i used that card so far, the character equiping it in battle died and the damage after healing didn't count.

shadow blade only deals damage if the healing has been done before the physical attack...
if it's at the end of the fight (like aelide, chimera) or after the damages are dealt (urakia) the effect of shadowblade isn't triggered...
