Have you looked at Weapons at will as an option?

I agree.  If you can get your hands on some WaW and some more weapons, then you have a really aggro deck on your hands.

Re : Kotoba Deck

I have thought about Borrowing and Weapons at Will, but the shop has no weapons at will when I look.

Re : Kotoba Deck

I played this type of deck for a long time when I was first starting out (I used Hares instead of Gakyusha because I couldn't afford him at time). So I have a bit of experience and would like to suggest a few notes/opinions for consideration.

Drop Emerald sword for Taichi (sp?) Sword

Imperial Armor x3

So, I totally get the allure of a +3 armor. However, this doesn't activate until the end of the fight. Since like 90% of games are over by turn 6 nowadays, this really only gives you +3 defense. And, if you get FTK'd because on Turn 1 you get no bonus, this card is a waste.

In my opinion it's much more useful to use a shield/armor that activates immediately. Yeah, it might only supply +1/+2, but if you think about it, over the course of two turns it cumulatively gives you just as much.

The other option, obviously, is the Kotoba action card that activates a weapon/armor immediately and heals 2 points (Stand your guard, or something like that).

This list is OK, I don't really have any great suggestions for low-cost options. I am a huge fan of [card]The Best Defense...[/card]

Hope that helps some!

Re : Kotoba Deck

[card]Kensensei[/card] should be a good addition to this deck.

Re : Kotoba Deck

If you add kensensei, Firon is a good choice. Chain a sword into Firon, then military strategy or origami into kensensei.

Re : Kotoba Deck

I'd throw out Xin and put Asajiro.
