Just wondering if Feerik ever plans on resetting the market prices for certain characters or adjusting them by taking into account the price of cards required to level up a character. Here are some examples of prices that need to be fixed:
Djamena - Max price is 27k, she needs ...Will Be Your Grave (19k) and Dazzle (34k)
Kararine - Max price is 40k, she needs Assassination (100k)
The Psychurgist - Max is around 7.5k, needs Blackmail (10k)
I'm sure there are other examples. Just wondering if the prices of cards like those mentioned that require other cards to upgrade will be reset to take into account the price of cards on the market.
I've noticed the price for Yu Ling seems to get reset every once in awhile. Sometimes the max price is 28k and then it drops down to 20k or so and then after awhile with none of them on the market, it jumps back up to 28k.

The market system is based solely on players, what prices sell, and what prices don't.
It's impossible to reset cards to take their components into account because the cards used IE Shadow Master/Dazzle, fluctuate in price. Last week Dazzle was 56k, before Nomads became top tier, dazzle was 5k max.
The price of an individual card isn't important, because that card can never be regained.
Cards used to upgrade characters also come from packs and daily quests.
Cards used to upgrade other cards have no set price whatsoever, it is a player driven market.
In the end it comes down to: Continue using character/Sell for character's posting price/let it sit in your collection.

Mercenaries and trophies are underrated.

The market is really messed up in terms of evolution cards. Kararine and Assassination is a great example, however it holds a little less validity because of the free Assassination we get. No one's going to sell their Lvl 3 Eclipse Kararine for 40K when they used an 80K+ card to make it. I'll give you that generally the players make the marketplace when the sky's the limit for prices, but when the limit's the sky... It's a different story. Essentially what this new roof-price thing is doing is forcing us to waste crystals, being forced to sell some of our cards (Particularly the ones that require pricier evolution cards) for less than they're worth.
If I was a conspiracy theorist, I'd say this is a ploy to drive booster sales. If you have to sell cards for less than they're worth, you're going to run low on crystals. What do you do then? If you want to keep going in the game, you're going to get feez.
And isn't it convenient that two prime examples of this marketplace flaw (Djamena and Kararine) are part of one of the best poised decks in ELO right now?
-EDIT- I retract that last statement. The marketplace changed before Eclipse was established as a top tier deck.
The price of an individual card isn't important, because that card can never be regained.
I'm sorry, but what? How is that not important? I'll make a quick analogy for you. Say you build a house, and the total amount of money investment into this house was, say, Two-hundred-thousand dollars (Or yen, or gil, or ruppies, or whatever your currency is.). Would you be happy when you sold that house for half of your initial investment? granted, yeah, you could strip down a house for it's parts, but that's besides the point.

Before the new market, players could essentially stop buying in large amounts and propagate large amounts of crystals just by:
1: Grinding and Resale
2: Buy low, sell high
And when I say Large amounts of crystals, there was a player who became a millionaire in about a month, just by buying/reselling cards.
The new market is encouraging players to STICK WITH SOMETHING.
Many people in this game, my prior habits a fine example, would sell their deck, just to try the new releases. If people actually invested better thought and strategy into what they're doing, we may see more competitiveness in game.
Eclipse, Sap Multi Race, Discard, they're no-brain decks, there isn't any real thought to them except: Beat X stat, Capitolize with X card, win. Yet the top 3 in elo haven't been using any of the decks we call "top tier", Crow and Pack? How many people actually use them?
Put some thought into the game and actually play. You're not going to install a turbocharger in your car just to sell it.

Hardly anyone is going to sell cards like Kararine or Djamena for their current market prices and as a result, the value of these cards is just going to keep plummeting. I just think that's kind of dumb because you'd have to be desperate to be willing to sell cards for far cheaper than they cost to make.

So you're saying working the marketplace is bad? What's wrong with buying low and selling high? That's how you build up funds to make better decks. If you just made crystals by playing... That would be stupid. You don't make hardly enough per game for it to even be worth it, or at least in my opinion you don't. The ability to sell your deck to try out a new one is an amazing one. The new marketplace doesn't encourage sticking with something. Encouraging would imply you have a choice between what they're advocating and something else. This new marketplace doesn't give you a choice, it basically tells you 'Waste some crystals or stick with your deck.' Playing one deck and one deck alone gets boring. Extremely boring.
And we wouldn't see more competitiveness, we'd see diversity, there's a difference. I know you make some different decks, and that's good, since you're one of the few who actually contribute to deck building, and I can respect that. However this game doesn't have much room for innovation, IMO. Or at least it doesn't have any room for competitive innovation. Not everyone can play a homebrew and get a great ELO score. You can try, I've tried, but it's not gonna happen. It's the same as most card games. Most homebrews will always fall to a top tier deck. That's just how it works.
You would if you made cars faster. If your source of income was from putting good stuff into cars to make them better, then you'd damn well better worry about resale value. Just like if you put good cards into characters, you'd want your time, effort, and money to be worth more than the initial investment, not less. There's more aspects to this game than just deck building. You have to keep your finances in mind when you make a decision about making a deck.
