New player needs advice.

Hello,
2 days ago I started playing the game and I love it. As I'm a big fan of mages I bought a Noz'Dingard starter deck. The deck is crap. I lose almost every game, and it's not because I don't understand it's mechanic. It's because the other 3 starter decks Kotoba, Zil and Mercenaries have 3 brute-ish characters that spam only ++Attack spells. The Noz deck has 1 brute (Aez), 1 squishy mage (Pilkim) character that relies on perfect card draws and variable spell damage so he can do something at all, and a semi brute/mage (Moira) character that with lots of luck can maybe match 1 of the other brutes. All of the games I feel I'am playing with 2 vs 3 in terms of characters. I have a small chance winning vs Mercenaries deck, less vs Kotoba and none vs Zil. The only time I win is when I play vs some blind ape noob or vs a deck that has not yet upgraded it's characters.

In the last day of the Pokerdan event, I realized it's a timed event that holds bountiful rewards. In a rush of several hours, I completed all of the Trophies, besides the 52 card one, and managed to collect a little over 4k crystals.

I decided I had to somehow upgrade my deck without having any idea what cards I should buy. I went to the Marketplace and sorted the cards by Noz'Dingard and Cheapest price. I checked almost all of the cards in the list, I thought threw what could help me in my deck and I bought several of them.

As all of the starter decks are based on brute ++attack spells, I figured out that a possible and affordable deck build can be a defensive one.

My deck consists of the following cards:

3x [card]Crystallization[/card]
3x [card]Guardian's Benediction[/card]
2x [card]Illusory Reflection[/card]
1x [card]Than the sword[/card]
1x [card]Blessed Bandage[/card]
1x [card]Healing Balm[/card]
1x [card]Cubit Chakra[/card]
2x [card]The Heart of Battle[/card]
1x [card]I hate Mystics[/card]
1x [card]Fireball[/card]
1x [card]Lightning Bolts[/card]
1x [card]Simple Shield[/card]
1x [card]Short Sword[/card]
1x [card]Living Dagger[/card]

I get lots of defense on the two witchblade sisters with these cards.
I play a defensive Anryena till I get both the Lightning Bolts and the Fireball spells.
I play the sisters in a semi attack/defense style, as the enemy decks always play +attack spells and think nothing of defense. This way I negate most of the damage and have more than enough attack to bypass their base defense. I use the sword and the dagger on the two sisters in order to guarantee the damage output I need to slay the enemy characters before I run out of cards.

Now I have much better chances of winning and not insta-losing by default. Especially if the enemy fails to nuke Anryena or decides not to kill her first.

I know it's probably a crappy half-baked deck, but it was the best I could think of.

I can see that an obvious improvement to the deck is replacing the 3x [card]Crystallization[/card] with 3x [card]Ice Barrier[/card], but they cost insane amounts of crystals and it won't be possible for now.

Can you help me with affordable ideas on how to improve my deck? I really like the Noz'Dingard guild

I woud go for full Witchblade deck.
Swap [card]Anryena[/card] for [card]Anazra[/card] she cost only 200 - 300 crystal if you buy her on level 1 and she has a great effect on level 4.

Then you need 3 [card]Ice Shield[/card] and 3 [card]Flicker of Hope[/card] they are realy cheap and great for Witchblades.
And get 3 [card]Ice Coffin[/card] they have at least +1 def and chain.

And later if you saving your crystals you can go for [card]Blade of the Witch[/card] and [card]Naya[/card].

Do i need something to upgrade Anazra all the way to lvl 4 besides EXP? Because I can't upgrade Pilkim to lvl 4 cuz of some card I need to own.

Blade of the Witch and Naya cost alot    What can I use in their place till I save up crystals? Maybe keep Anryena?

Anazra is a clean path all the way to level 4. No cards needed for upgrade.

To upgrade Pilkim to Level 4 you need the Apostle of Desiny. Cheap enough to buy...

You need nothing to upgrade [card]Anazra[/card] only a littel bit time
[card]Anryena[/card] is realy weak trust me... don t play her she is useless at the moment.

Other card woud be
[card]Freeze![/card] against equip decks but only one
[card]Than the sword[/card] 2 more
[card]Assassination[/card] I know you have one from the starter and with 2 marauder you can play it
[card]sword of light[/card] littel bit more expensiv but great with [card]Anazra[/card]
[card]Power[/card] give you more atack or more spirit for fireball

[card]Anazra[/card] and don t fusion Moira with Eglantyne.
So you have 3 strong witchblades and can pimp your deck with time.
Here is my idea only to help you ...

3 x [card]Flicker of hope[/card] (700 per card)
3 x [card]Ice Shield[/card] (500 - 600 per card)
3 x [card]Ice Coffin[/card] (450 - 500 per card)
3 x [card]Than the sword[/card] (500 - 800 per card)
1 x [card]Fireball[/card]
1 x [card]Assassination[/card]
1 x [card]Lightning Bolts[/card]
1 x [card]Freeze![/card] (200 - 300)
1 x [card]I hate Mystics[/card]
1 x [card]Living Dagger[/card]

2 x [card]Power[/card] (1000 - 1400 per card)
or
2 x [card]Sword of Light[/card] (2000 - 2400 per card)
or some other cards that you like

But some of this cards will drop in price because of the last Noz'Dingard release.

That first deck (Moira, Eglantyne and Anryena) was my deck for a looooong time

It brings back memories. Back then it was no different, Noz always got shafted during the early games you would play with their starter, but the moment you got Eglantyne, things shifted!

Back then there were no fancy Ice Shields to help you out, luckily this time you do!
