Your popular underhanded scheme of randomly releasing pay to play events the day after a new card release is going to drive people away more than it is going to drive sales.

This is a somehow free event... the fact is that you wont get the maximum prize if they don't buy... but they can get some combinations too.. so i think this is wise enough, giving them something for free can motivate them to invest money to get more.

All events have had a free aspect in which you do not reap the same amount of rewards as if you paid.

If i remember well... in the Hp event you had to buy a booster to get malefiction and then evolve it to a wand...

Or you could use wands from past events and participate free of charge.
The point is not so much so on having to buy, which you seem so avidly focused on. Feerik is a business and as a business I understand they need to make money. This however is not how to do proper business. I find it downright disrespectful.
The major point here is blindsiding every1 the day after they go berserk buying the new releases guild packs. Now not everyone is affected by this but it is tasteless to randomly throw in an event at people. I can guarantee you 100% of the people who bought packs yesterday would have waited until today to buy so they could reap both rewards. What people here seem to forget is the customer is the most important person in your company. I feel time and time again from Feerik that this is not the case.

Oh... well i understand what you are saying ñ.ñ . it makes sense that way... almost everyone saves money for the weekly card release... lucky me i don't play kotoba that much hehehe... But looking on the side of the company they can be thinking( In my opinion... i don't represent them at all) If they always tell us when there is going to be an event or if they release the event in the same date of a card release, they wont be getting more than the usual profit. Just my greedy thinking

That's exactly what they think, and unfortunately that says to me as a customer all i matter to them is dollars. When I mean that little to a company I start to understand why nothing get fixed, changed, and why I(we) are never listened to.

I was fine with this event because you only have to buy one pack to get all of the rewards. If you didn't buy that one pack you still got one of the two legendary cards. It didn't have obscure requirements like the manhunt. You could just play the game and have fun and get bonus stuff, like the egghunt. The Manhunt and the Egghunt are both events I liked a lot, and I was glad to see this one.
I agree releasing pay events after a guild release is foul, however, but it didn't leave as sour of a taste in my mouth as the wand thing did.
One? You need Several Life to create the other cards, I'm pretty sure it's more than 2 ^_^

Mercenaries and trophies are underrated.

Okay, so you need two packs? Again, compare it to the wand event where you needed, like, eight.
or go for the four packs much cheaper you might get lucky like me XD

You need to buy at least 6 pack of 4 cards or 2 packs of 12 cards.
The same remark raises out each time a pay event occurs.
From the first one, we ask Feerik not to release this type of event the day after the weekly release....

It's obviously making a sales impact, or they wouldn't continue to do it.
Speaking from a marketing/economic background, I want to not believe it, but my thinking always leads to the following:
Bad revenues from day one of a weekly card release = release event to push sales.
Why?
There's two types of buyers
First is the regulars, who buy a steady stream as releases come out. Doesn't matter if the release cards are weak, they buy regularly to keep thier market sales ability open and to always have fresh cards. Can be a weekly, biweekly, triweekly, monthly buyer, but they are constant, and can be dependant on for sales.
The other is the interest buyer. They only pay to play when the cards interest them. Weak new cards won't compel them to buy, and they only invest when there's cards that interest them.
The second group almost always buys on day one of a week release if they are going to. They want to get cards when they sell high, or when they can use them in thier decks. So it's an easy strategy. Watch for 24hr, if the expected sales drop lower than the accepted deviation, throw out an event to boost interest and pack sales, and just always have an event designed to be ready for release.
There's signs that point to this too. Go back and look at some of the past few event weeks and notice how weak the set release was. Go look at the latest events and see if they are in any way relevant to that week's theme or story direction (they aren't)....it's all there.
Does it mean that's what they're doing? Not necessarily, but it's very tempting to assume it, and the pieces fit.
In other words, they stagger it because it works. Sales drop on a week, you boost it with a staggered unexpected event that drives purchases. Is it shitty to the first group of dedicated supporters of the game? Yes, and I personally am appalled by it.
Want an easy fix Feerik?
How about this: Don't punish first day buyers
Make the card inserts retroactive. So if I bought two 12 packs on Wednesday, you give me 6 matter cards on Thursday when the event arrives.
I've bought 2 packs in over 2 months now because of this, and that's only because the zil release was too tempting. Beyond that, I do free offers to buy a 4-pack every 3 weeks. I still support the game, but I refuse to actually invest in it beyond affiliate programs. If you can't support and respect your dedicated buyers, I'd rather not buy packs until you do. I really got tired of being a constant supporter and being screwed over, so I stopped.
I may be a mod but I still will criticize and be heavy handed when I feel it's neccesary, I try and mince my words to not be offensive at the same time, but today I think it may have boiled over a bit...
The response to bleach the other day was really just a offhand remark that things will not get fixed anytime soon, but trust us anyway, which is just a slap in the face. No one's fixed anything, all that happens is new cards get pumped out and we're expected to gobble them up with the pretense it will get fixed soon, which is just another online expression by game companies to delay anger (I've worked in/with some, I know). Things haven't changed, besides the cards themselves.
Things won't change so long as people keep spending money after they complain. That's like complaining about a political party, but you vote them anyway. Words must equal actions.
Mine is: I used to buy at least 2 packs a week. Now I don't, and I won't ever again untill I actually see changes.
I love the game still. I support it minimally. But don't expect more than that until somethings done.
If there were no luck in TCG, how boring would that be?
