New card releases

Sooo, is there any particular reason that the Kotoba got an onslaught of 17 new cards in act 4 and each subsequent release of new guilds yields about 5? I think the devs may be a lil partial to the Kots.

I'm simply curious, thats all. I realize that each guild will get new cards but for a guild that wasnt particularly lacking in the first place...

Yeah, I was expecting a massive noz update after seeing how many cards were released on the kot update. But with the DK update all is forgiven smile

True , true.. but releasing a weekly card without a new character is sacrilege -_-

lol I feel you. I like playing the Saps. And the releases are nice but I was also expecting a flood of cards from each guild lol. Call it wishful thinking i guess.

I was expecting Zil after the Noz update. As long as they don't add any more A-bomb/Shadow types to the Zil im curious to see that release lol.

Re : New card releases

Actually the next release should be Zil.

(go to the News and check ... the releases usually follow a pattern** .. that's how I got my cheap Sap's and sold Magic Poison for 5k profit each xD)

My bet is on Zil Mages .. since there are few Zil-Mage* cards and only handful of Zil Mages that dont have ... a good chemistry.

*Personal note - I was right about Noz DK and the Sap after it ... I was wondering between Zil and Nomads for this week (despite that Nomads were suposed to be next) but I'm 95% sure about the Zil release next week, unless they make a new guild or the Fog snake comes out .. the merc releases are just random as hell. Let me rephrase it - the next non-merc and non-new guild release should be Zils.

** Nomads -> Zils -> Pirates -> Nehanists -> Kotoba -> Noz -> Sap -> repeat. They usually follow this pattern (unless there is a Merc release or a new guild). Ofc before the last 2 guilds for example it was Nomads -> Zil -> Kotoba -> Noz - Sap .. for example. They tend to:
a) release new caste/no caste or
b) support the weakest caste in the guild ...

For example: Since Zil has 2 castes - The Pack and Circus both of which got good support lately and both of which are relatively good, the next release will have either a new caste or no caste cards. Since there are limited options* for a new caste supporting old cards for the Zils ... that's why I bet on mages (or in the worst case, new caste with Shadow Guemelitues, but I really hope it will be some sort of an unique new way to play mages ...)

*** Zil's already good:
- Marauders (the best in game IMO)
- Warriors (some of the pack + Abom and Shadow),
- They dont have priests and I doubt they will make a caste around it (the only non nomad priest caste I see should go to nehanists ... as dark priests or something xD)
- I doubt they will have a caste around craftsmen ... this is Pirate's thing
- All that is left are Mages - they have what ... Abyssien, Marlok the Repentant and Golemarlok ... and I'm sure you can't play the last two in the same deck.

yeah the guild is lacking them and it would be interesting to see some new shadow spells not on the discard side of course

Re : New card releases

Some new AGRO shadow spells. Most of the ones we have tend to be related to discarding/defending and defending is just not meant to be in Zils decks. I mean it just doesnt look right big_smile

Re : New card releases

TBH I never had any problems with discard decks .. Just play 1-2 cards per round and try to have low spirit score XD. My win to loss ratio agast them (while not using mages ofc) is somewhere around 1 to 9 for me. (it's 2 to 8 with mages, but Sap Mages tend to have low spirit scores).

You know what I meant =/ (erm since it was vague - I meant a deck around priests. Counting Kriss as a Priest is pretty much the same as counting the merc Toran (the Faithless) as a Tsoutaï)
