Spliter/Magic Amp/Mage Staff/Wood Pro + Magic Poison

Magic Poison is a non-AoE.  I have had 1-2 splitters and have never seen it do an additional damage per turn.  I mean this is pretty much the only reason Splinter might be worth anything, it doesn't chain, it doesn't stack on one character (Which would make Wreckwood a little more helpful), at least make it work pretty much for the only reason it exists.

Edit:  Just to test it out I also tried Magic Amp/Mage's Grand Staff/Magic Amp and another Sap special card... Wood Protection.  None of these give more damage to Magic Poison, even for just the first turn it's played(Though it should be for every turn since the value should be set on cast).  Win using Magic actually works oddly but that is almost a moot point since it's just damage = your spirit.  Come on give the poor Sap World Trees some love.

Re : Spliter/Magic Amp/Mage Staff/Wood Pro + Magic Poison

I am reopening this thread, but also moving it to a different section of the forum. As far as I know, this is not a bug. Its a misunderstanding of Magic Poison's mechanic and I would like to help clarify that to you.

[card]Magic Poison[/card] is a spell with a trigger effect. This means once a certain thing happens (The trigger in this case is after the end of the character's turn.) the effect of the card is activated. The damage dealt by Magic Poison is a set amount and cannot be changed by other cards.

Cards such as [card]Mage's Grand Staff[/card], [card]Win Using Magic[/card], [card]Wood Protection[/card], etc... are cards that boost spells with immediate effects. Immediate effects are things such as immediately resolved damage (e.g. [card]Rain of Death[/card]) and constant/steady effects (e.g. [card]Ice Barrier[/card]) [Side note: it seems Ishaia is the only character with the effect that increases the constant/steady card effects of spells. The above mentioned cards do not.]

Basically this means cards with non immediate effects are not effected by these cards and their special effects. In addition, these cards usually increase spell damage DURING the turn. Not after the turn is resolved, where Magic Poison is triggered.

Re : Spliter/Magic Amp/Mage Staff/Wood Pro + Magic Poison

If what you say is true Bleachman why does Perversion diminish the damages dealt by Magic poison when the character who casted it wears one ?

Say that at the first turn I play magic poison and my opponent plays Perversion. OK this turn the damages are reduced but at turn 4 the same characters are again facing each other. At the end of the turn the damages dealt by magic poison are again reduced. If I understand correctly what you wrote it seems to me that it shouldn't.

I beleive that is a bug. Poison should not be effected by boosts to spell damage as said before because it triggers. The confusion and why I believe it is a bug is because when Dimizar has a poison or hostile environment he takes no damage. Due to his effect it may be because it is "his" cards. Which would answer why it does not get boosted, and also prove why the reason above would be a bug imo.

They release a lot of cards without fully testing it. I hate to say it but I'm under the impression the testers are the same as the numerous sheep that play this game. "Ok, it works in all the decks people usually play. It's good to go!"

A lot of sap heart cards don't work properly.

Re : Spliter/Magic Amp/Mage Staff/Wood Pro + Magic Poison

The problem is: both card says "end of fight"

So since [card]Magic Poison[/card] does damage at the end of the fight

and

[card]Perversion[/card] prevent 1 damage (physical and magical) until the end of the fight...

[card]Magic Poison[/card] SHOULD BE affected because it acts not AFTER but exactly at the end of the fight.
