When the card is "removed" via "Clumsiness" "Pacification" etc... when they go to the next person, the removed card(s) are brought back and deal double the amount of damage.. I'm assuming this is a glitch.. Figured I'd finally post it.. It's been happening for a long long time now.

*Edit*
It continues the process..  Removed once: Double Damage.  Removed twice: Triple Damage.. Etc, etc..

also when i used extortion against the starboard of my opponent, it doesnt work. on the turn that i used extortion, starboard was discarded. his character died on this particular turn. in the next turn, however, the starboard was equipped to his other character..
