double attack seems like it would even work well against the heavy defense playing warriors.
It's the other way around , sap is good against low to medium defense enemy like zill for example. The higher the defense bonus for the opponent and I think you're the one who will kick the bucket soon

at the level of people im facing (and the level my cards are) the average defense user gets up to 4-5 defense. i realize this may be noob level, but its what ive been going against. even the low printed attack of second level card (7, i believe?) would deal and extra 2-3 damage, which can definitely be helpful in a close fight.
anyway, this thread is more about me needing help deciding what boosters to buy to build a good deck then debating things like that, i was just stating my first impressions on the guild itself.
P.S., looking up the average price melisandra (or however you spell it) is going for in the market, and its 23k+ crystal. looks like i got lucky, lol.

It's random card wheter you buy 100 sap booster, even 4 card booster can net you foil ishaia like bleach did.
And it's not 7 at level two, it's 5.. even lv,3 only got 6 as low attack score
and they said first impression last forever, i just want to be honest with you about this deck weaknesses so you can understand better

Every guild has its strangths and weaknesses.
Sap heart elfines
This elfines striking two times are great against Desert Nomads, since DN have no defence and Sap hearts can deliver full dmg, which is devastating.
Zil warriors have a weaknes against the SH elfines, again for the same reason, but not as much as the DN.
Kotoba and Noz'dingard are strong against Sap heart elfines. Both can raise their defence to a lvl, at which the second attack of SH does no dmg anymore.
The strength of SH elfines is their double or tripple attack. But their disadvantage is that they dont have as many possibilites to raise their damage as Zil, Kotoba or Noz and cant heal like Desert Nomads.
Sap heart Hom'chai
These guys can boost their dmg, heal themselves and heavily rely on [card]Items have a soul[/card]. They are strong against physical attackers but very weak against Noz and Priest decks. Discarding opponents may also put them into a very uncomfortable position.
Another aspect of these guys is that they are very strong against the end of the fight.
If u try Sap heart, don't be frustrated, when u start losing against Noz and Kotoba.
Noz'Dingard mages
One of the most powerful decks, this is also why the Noz spells are so damn expensive. I can't think of a guild, who is especially strong against them except the Zil warriors. Zil warriors can put their spirit to 0 with [card]diversion[/card] and then kill with [card]Assassination[/card]. Other decks, that can do a lot of dmg early in the game are also strong against them, but such decks are very rare.
Desert Nomad Eclipse
With eclipse chars u can either max your dmg output with [card]sacred nova[/card] and [card]solar's anger[/card] and also heal your characters towrds the end of the fight, or you relay on medium dmg and enhanced healing.
As said befor Sap heart elfines are very strong against this guild. Also Noz are kinda strong against them. All other decks have a pot situation and it heavily depends on ***bip*** deck, whether you or your oponent is stronger.
Kotoba warriors
Their strength is obvious. Build up attack and defence power with weapons and then strike hard! However they are very weak against those deliverin spiritual dmg like Noz or Crow. They also might have problems against enduring guild like Desert Nomads.
Kotoba crow
I haven't played them yet and I didnt match up with too many of them, but they can deal spiritual dmg using [card]Tsume[/card] while increasing their defence score and the def score of the opponent using [card]disagreement[/card]. They also have [card]Oogoe Kage[/card]. He can play courtesan cards and make ***bip*** deck strong against mages with [card]philosophical debate[/card] or against warriors with [card]Manipulation[/card].
I hope I could help u with these short introductions into some guilds and castes. Have fun playing Eredan

+5 rep, very helpful, thanks for the help.
im thinking buy about 10 packs each of three different guilds? 120 cards of each should be enough to make a decent deck or two with, no?
should i sell my melisandre (still cant spell her name) for around the 23k its going for on the market to help fund my deck building?
also, can you buy fee'z with debit card or does it have to be on paypal? i saw the option on there, but didnt have much luck with it last time i tried, though that could have been because of something else...
another question too. how does elfine bow work? say i deal 6 damage to the opponent. (keeping it low for simplicities sake), does it then do 2 damage to each opponents characters? does it do all 6? basically does it do the full amount or does it take dmg dealt and divide it between the 3?
and if it divides it between the three, is that on TOP of the dmg you would have done to the character you are already battling, or instead of?

it would be very imbalanced, if it would be on top of the dmg or if it would be 6 dmg to all.
When u do let's say 12 dmg and 3 chars are left, then each char receives 12/3= 4 dmg.
If I were you, i would first select one favorit guild/caste u want to build a deck for and then sell cards of other guilds/castes, that u can not use for the deck in order to finance your favorit deck. But only if necessary.

how does elfine bow work?
It splits the damage evenly to each character x/y x where the damage you done and y is the number of "alive" opponents
ex. you deal 15 damage and 3 opponents still alive it will be divided by 3, so 5 damages for each one of them
And you forgot to ask what would happen if you delal 7 damage and there are 3 living opponents.. so the damage will be rounded down.
since 6 is the closest number to be divided by 3, each opponents suffer 2 damage and the excessive damage will be taken by your main target

Actually that is wrong, unless it changed recently. For the bow, all the damage is dealt out, if it is one extra damage it lands on the one your attacking, the second will land on a random pick. The bow is actually a good way to get around the weakness of one character having a ton of defense like Xin as long as they have one that doesn't.
That being said, Elfines are very much a rock, paper, scissors deck. I've tried a bunch of different ways to cover up their weakness but it's just short of impossible, there are several deck types they just have a really hard time against. Their really good against certain decks and really bad against others. That being said I wouldn't sell your Mel, even if you don't run a full Elfine deck she is pretty fun and quite able to do a 1 turn KO with just a Elven Melody and something chained. Also you need to figure out what your third character should be, maybe something to cover up weaknesses or simply someone to keep them alive long enough to do their damage. Personally I like Gaya(tons of hidden combos), but Warrior Keizen, Jayane or a Merc Priest are good too.
Homchi/IHAS on the other hand are good against most everything as long as their played right and your opponent doesn't use certain cards. Anathematize will crush you since Honchi don't really have much else going for them. Just remember to not be afraid to play items nor be afraid to discard if you don't think a card will be useful next turn. I've even discarded IHAS before since I have two more and one or more of their characters are low on hp somehow. Also don't be afriad to let a character die, though as soon as one does consider playing IHAS' soon or you may never get the chance.
The Mages are not to be underestimated, especially with splinter now, if you have 3 magic poisons this can be quite lethal. I can't count how many times I pretty much had to consider a character dead because of magic poison. Root also can be quite annoying, slowing down and possibly breaking your opponents combo(with Hailwalker being able to place in on an untapped character it's even better now). Throw in Fireball(or rain of death if you can), Mirage, Arcanium, Burn in Hell(only if you have 3), maybe some Mage staffs and you've got a deck that can rival the Noz Mages easily.
Quick Draw outside Elfine and IHAS outside Homchi... undoubtfully these card are really good with their sets, but if your running a lot of items in a Sap Heart deck, throw in a IHAS. If you are using 6+ low attack characters, throw in a Quick Draw. If your playing with a Nature Guem like Ydiana maybe throw in a Magic Poison or a Root. *couInvisibilitygh*
