Query about "The best defense..."

Do the following give [card]The best defense...[/card] bonus Attack +1:
1) Active turn bonus that gives Defense +X (e.g. [card]Amaya[/card]),
2) Cards that activate turn bonuses that give Defense +X (e.g. [card]That's an order![/card] on [card]Amaya[/card]),
3) Actions/Spells played before [card]The best defense...[/card] that give Defense +X (e.g. chained after [card]Protect the Weak[/card]),
4) Not-yet-activated Defense +X item played before [card]The best defense...[/card] (e.g. [card]The best defense...[/card] is chained after [card]Runic Gauntlet[/card] on [card]Hares the Brute[/card]),
5) Active Defense +X items (e.g. [card]Simple Shield[/card] or [card]Potion of Seduction[/card]),
6) Permanents/Items on fellow characters that give the battling character Defense +X (e.g. [card]Ice Barrier[/card]), and
7) Defense +X abilities from fellow characters (e.g. [card]Xin the Ironbringer[/card])?
