Having difficulty with the Chalice quest number 2. Haven't found a similar post.
What decks are effective against this guy? Immune to discard and Aoe. Wasted some energy figuring that one out. Does he take damage once he reaches 0 attack later in the turn? Help a brother out.
My deck list is such.
Fenrath lvl 3
Brutus lvl 3
Wild lvl 3
Items
Wolf Paw x2
Bestial x2
Actions
Annoyance x3
To the Rescue x1
Festivities x1
Lunation x3
The Alpha x1
Fly off the Handle x3
Strength of Zil x1
Dances with Volk x1
Offensive x1
The Crow and the Emperor x1 (This has been amazing)
Lunation is the kicker, and festivities clears the deck of them fast if you dont draw them. Save using [card]To the Rescue[/card] until turns 1 and 4. Hold [card]Bestial[/card] and/or [card]Wolf paw[/card] for Fenrath or Brutus with a chained [card]Annoyance[/card] +4 minimum hit that either 1 HKs peeps by turn 3 or forces them defense early, letting you set up and use the [card]Dances with Volk[/card] risky heal for turns 4-6. Brutus is a monster but must be played carefully from turns 1-3. I personally grab as many Lunations as possible before activating him for a super boost.
The Crow and the Emperor is amazing. Added it to the deck for the card quest originally but it can Aoe any stragglers or boost an upcoming The Pack character for +4/+2!! Obviously this deck has no chance on Noz Mage but has been known to take down some Wild Buds.
...and I come back to find I need to purchase fees just to sell cards? I'm less inclined to play if I can't even stay as casual as before. There was a reason I took a hiatus (money don't grow on trees). When did this change occur and is anyone else upset about the switch for how the marketplace works?
what deck is good to beat all 4 bosses, i got past the first two, then i lost!
Nehant corruption/ Demon Portal decks
I've never lost on the first 3 with it
Snowball fight! Throw words in the room!
Seriously, your post is mischief. He asks after a very direct benefit to Saphyra.
There remain only 3 decks, two if we remember that his already is lvl3.Dagger Maros, some daggers n dagger mastery
the other is a hybrid version using stirring up hatred and rain of arrows.
both use saphyra, abonomium and shadowwomen/telendar
for a full deck u should search the forums there sure are different decks
Rereading it now. I see. I was going off the final post I had seen. Sorry Ni! Good luck and see you in the rooms!
Get an avalonian blade in there with one triumph and you have some offense.
What makes the Artezil's Dagger anyway? a +1 atk buff and 1 direct damage chain doesn't seem to explain it's cost on the auction house.
Aigle1705 a écrit :cause with her, you only have 9 deck cards?
means 20 cards -5 handcards n -6 of her items that are taken out.>> easy victory for all discard decks
thats why you need permanent cards or some that are shuffled in deck again.
hmmm....sir Aigle..
can u advice me what should i do, for best Zil?????thx sir aigle
Dear me, your sentence structure is nonexistent. There is no best Zil. And if there is, you can bet the others will get better in later weeks. The main decks are:
1. Discard
2. The Pack
3. Daggers
4. Priests
5. Turned to Shadow
Pick one and have some fun! You will learn some things as you go. So study the decks you play against and change cards accordingly.
Alright, I finally received some of the new Theurgies and am taking a crack at some deck ideas.
[card]Terrifik[/card]
[card]The Psychurgist[/card]
[card]Alyce[/card]
[card]Sarcastic Laugh[/card] x3
[card]Blackmail[/card] x3
[card]Vicious Cycle[/card] x3
[card]Fabulous Destiny[/card] x2
[card]Chiaroscuro[/card] x3
[card]Exordium[/card]
[card]Defend your territory.[/card]
[card]I Hate Brawlers[/card] x3
[card]Penance[/card]
The deck can set up well if I can get out 1st turn Chiaroscuro. Vicious Cycle slows your deck emptying so you can sweat less with decking out before the opponent. Psycho also cycles Blackmails so I usually throw the exordium on him. Was wondering if I should swap Penance for [card]Clumsiness[/card]... Not really capable of grabbing [card]A New Start[/card].
This deck doesn't hit hard unless you are dropping 2 sarcastic laughs. And even then, don't bank on the opponent going down the same turn.
Any suggestions?
I hate discard, I hate the pack, I hate Shadow Mage Abyss/Kuraying decks
Honestly Im glad Zil is losing
I know my DH deck beat at least 2 crappy Zil decks
Thing is, Kotoba has so many ways to increase their defense already. There are few pure Zil cards that can increase defense without requiring circus or being a mage/priest. Kotoba seems easily viable competitively while a successful Zil deck takes some effort and plenty of crystals to make.
Granted, I have a nice Dh deck but I'm benching it this week in hopes of pushing the guild card in the direction I think it should go. Some agree, some disagree. This rivalry was kind of the goal, was it not? This week I'm pro Zil and anti Kotoba. Who knows which way I'll side next! But until then, screw you Kotoba! May you fall on your Katanas!
My Zill discard hasn't lost against Kots....ever lol. What are you people running?
Psycho
Abyssien Devourer
Salem
[card]Treacherous[/card] x3
[card]Theft[/card] x2
[card]Festivities[/card]
[card]Camp[/card]
[card]Panic[/card] x3
[card]Mental Syphon[/card]
[card]Conjuring[/card]
[card]Look Away[/card] x3
[card]Blackmail[/card] x2
[card]I Hate Brawlers[/card] x3
also, if I have kyoshiro and yu ling level 2 which one is better with zatochi kage and nashi
Yu Ling I would think if you are lacking RoD's.
Wow. Well kudos to my challenge being accepted. He 1 hit KO'd my Psychothurgist and the game fell apart from that moment. Gratz!
Well, it depends. Of you want to focus more on physical damage: Yulven, Kokrem, and Ursyd can hit big. But if you want magic and direct damage, Ayir is good and even Lady Yilith if you can obtain her for staying power with heals.
Been playing Ice Elves since Kokrem was revealed on the Advent Wall. Quite fun once you get a deck that works for you.
Lets better see what the two guild have.
Zil:
Marauder Dagger Master
Marauder Beat-down
Circus discard
The pack
Shadow MageAnd the most common deck from Zil is discard.
VS
Kotoba:
Tsoutai
Tracker
Warrior
Demon hunter
CrowCircus discard:
- lose vs Tsoutai because Circus can t reduce attack and they get crushed from [card]Katamaru[/card].
- lose vs Warrior because the warrior have good attack and no spirit without playing cards.
- lose vs Tracker because [card]shuriken[/card] go always back to hand and tracker have many atack from start.
- lose vs demon hunter with [card]Katamaru[/card] and [card]Onijutsu[/card]
- win vs crow
Disagree. A well-made Zil Discard is potent and powerful.
-Tsoutai's attack can't be lowered but they can suck on [card]I Hate Brawlers[/card] and [card]Treacherous[/card].
-Trackers don't hit hard enough and one Shuriken doesn't seal fate.
-I have won against Iro, Imperial Champion decks with him lvl 3 and Demonhunters I go 50/50 with my discard. You simply sacrifice Salem to hit with a [card]Panic![/card]/[card]Theft[/card] combo for the greater good.
Such generalized statements warrant a challenge! The name is Dooger. Look for me buddy!
Now the win rate for The Pack... might be contributing to our Zil loses... I personally never won in Rooms with The Pack yet.
[card]Six Feet Under[/card] is a must and Amythyst Blizzards. Frost Bite is good but you want them to hit big.
did it in an hour with The Venerable Shu Long using only [card]The Great Hunt[/card] and a [card]...to Face[/card]. Wait for even turns and only play either. Most likely you will kill the opponent. If not, possibly on the following AoE turn. I would get +5 towards the trophy per game whether I won or not. Took about 8 games.
My Zil Discard is 5-0-0 rrecord on the Nomad boss. Key is to get him hit with a Treacherous ASAP before he gets Sol'ra angry and his spirit disappears. Then sit and tank while Salem and Psycho discard the rest.
As for the Noz boss, get Sentence in the deck and I have had good success with Nehant corruptions. Relatively cheap if not for my 2 Vital Siphons.
Alyce, and other Zil priests, can't play faith theurgies. Heals in circus would make most people foam at the mouth with rage.
[card]Saphyra the Zil[/card] lvl 1...
I got both Shu Longs and a random card (ended up being Fireball!). I made a Venerable Deck that looks like this:
[card]Distracted[/card] x2
[card]Good Omen[/card] x3
[card]Mockery[/card] x2
[card]Hibernation[/card] x3
[card]Paranoia[/card] x2
[card]Storm[/card]
[card]Explosion[/card]
[card]Fallen from the Sky[/card] x2
[card]Demonic Apparition[/card]
[card]Challenge[/card]
[card]Hit the Road[/card] (very fun on first turn)
[card]Moneyed[/card] (only used it once)
Drop Distracted and Fallen from the Sky on turn 1 if possible, then mega heal on physical attack turns or double up on Storm and/or Explosion for some AoE hurt! Best part is, if I win and live, I get full 70 crystal for a perfect. $$$
The decks that have been "Shlonged":
Avalonian
Ice Elf
Craftsmen
Pirate Mercs
Pirate Powder
Cursed Demon (key is to time Paranoia well)
And in adventure mode it makes for plenty of perfects! Not boss worthy, those guys are meant for certain tactics.
The Nehantist cursed deck is not unbeatable. Heck, you time item discard right and all they did was hurt themselves! A good Shu Long deck can eat them up... of course can't use it in tournament but hell if they are fun!
The whole idea of expansions is to provide more options for players. The Cursed Item expansion was very big, much more so than the recent Sap Heart. I think if anything gets too powerful, the next release will probably balance it out.
ill also add something: bigger penalties for runners
/bump
I apologize if how I spoke earlier was unclear,
Nice. Experimental or traditional? I'm currently finishing up my degree in animation at Milwaukee Area Tech. Not too much work in Wisconsin though. Commission can be a pain sometimes.
Dooger a écrit :Her outfit is too symmetrical, which is a design no-no.
You said her outfit is too symmetrical. I'm supposed to be able to figure out you meant her pose and not what she's wearing? I've never heard the phrase 'Strike an outfit.'
Oh chill out MrLordi92. I said I was sorry if I was bad at communicating the fact of the pose instead of outfit. What is your background in drawing btw?
Dooger a écrit :Seems too similar to Telendar. This is Telendar after a sex-change operation and the surprise on her face is not getting her crystals worth from surgery... It's a good start but maybe make her strike a pose. Her outfit is too symmetrical, which is a design no-no. Color is good, but also could work in a more red purple to offset her being a female counterpart.
Just my 2 cents.
Fair enough, but a reversed gender version of a canon character is sort of supposed to look like their originals. I'm sure it doesn't help that Telendar's hair is already a bit on the long, feminine side, so he could have made it longer, but it looks fine the way it is. Personally my only gripe is that she has such a surprised, innocent look about her while Telendar's a little... Not so surprised and innocent.
As for saying symmetry is a design no-no... That's like asking someone what their favorite movie is, and then telling them they're wrong. Symmetrical and asymmetrical design are just two different ways to design stuff. So you're saying Superman, Batman, and hell, a good portion of the DC's Universe characters have ill-designed suits because they're symmetrical? Telendar's design is symetrical. Send Naidade (The artist of Telendar) an e-mail about how to design outfits. I'm sure they'll love to hear what you have to say.
Not the suit being symmetrical, the drawing. Feet are symmetrical as are the head to shoulder level. It is a common mistake many artists make. Has nothing to do with opinion. A symmetrical head-on shot is always lackluster and static. None of the card art we see in-game is symmetrical in pose.
I could quote Ollie Johnson and Frank Thomas in "The Illusion of Life", perhaps Vilpu would be a good quotation as well. All specify the importance of posing in different character art pieces. Naidade is obviously well aware of the benefits, so sending an email would only be counterproductive. I apologize if how I spoke earlier was unclear, but understand that their might be some people who critique with intent for an artist to explore possibilities, and not simply hang a drawing on a fridge. If criticism is not wanted, simply do not share your work.
/edit On second glance the feet are slightly offset. But with no real revised angle. It is more appealing than if it were at same level.
