You get Defence+1 Permanent on the Character that use it, but if you also have either Xin, Asajiro and/or Furagu in your group, you get extra bonus.

Example:
If you have Xin and Asajiro in your Party, the total bonus from the card is Defence+2 and Attack+1.

If you on the other hand have Asajiro and Furagu, the bonus for the character activating it will be Defence+1 (regardless of character), Attack+1 (from Asajiro) and Heals 1 at the end of each fight (bonus from Furagu).
