pirate's magic damage vs. dark stone heart

i just played against a pirate deck and all the cards that caused "magic fire damage", like flames of the phoenix, powder keg, rocketer etc didn't stop causing damage after i played dark stone heart (i played it BEFORE the opponent cards were activated, i'm sure).

I just checked DSH by the way, and it says "spell immunity". If that's so, shouldn't it be "magic damage immunity" instead?

thanks

Cause pirates use science? :)That would be my guess, cause last time I used fierce lion against powder pirates my golem ended up melting. smile

If they would change it into "magic damage immunity" like you said, some of nehant's corruption will take effect. Also note that luminosity, immobility , and mind prison or whatever that is will also take effect

So dark stone heart is immune to spells and the pirate cards are not spells, but deal magic damage. I don't know about other decks, but zil marauder usually get fried before they can deal with pirates.

-decent stats (atk, def)
- nice damage delivery and to more than one character at a time (rocketer, flames, kegs, etc...)
- fast strategy set up (usually the deck is ready to screw you by 3rd or 4th turn)
- increasing cascade of damage (even if you beat them all, you're likely to losse by score)
- efficient retribution (even when taking them out they take you out too somehow)

in fact, the main problem in my opinion is the lack of cards to deal with the powder tokens... or to use their powder tokens to my advantage too, somehow!

Pretty much, and with the next pirate update they'll be a hella lot stronger ( I'm guessing on this week update will be pirate, either electro mages or powder kaboom warriors big_smile

My suggestion is to put a pair of obesity to negate scutling smile
