how does this work? i mean can make my dragon knigths use a katana with this card for example?

No. The card reveals the top cards of your deck until you pull an item card. It is played immediately then and still needs activation and all the other jazz item cards use. This card does not ignore your characters racial, guild and class restrictions.
Though there is a card that does that for Noz: [card]Dragon's Wit[/card]
