you can only blame your luck not the system have you seen two sacred novas hit 10 twice well i did
i see my 2 sacred nova hit 0. cry for a week...
luck is luck, that´s all, like throwing a dice...u can do the math but u never know.

I personally think I would lose more interest if I knew exactly how each of my characters were going to hit every turn, the randomness allows games to be different, and for you to strategize and make up for low hits or boost your hits better. Otherwise all you would have to do is each match make sure your character gets to this attack to win.
Also I believe without the randomness there would be even more OP decks, and allow for certain decks to ALWAYS beat certain decks.
I feel the balance of strategy and luck during matches is currently very good.
