Nehantic Stone not blicking Nehantic spells?

My The Fallen played a Nehantic Stone and the opposing mage was able to successfully attach a Vital Syphon to it (afterward). I thought the the syphon would fall off since I have spell immunity and then the stone would return to my hand. (This was in the training room, if that makes a difference).

Dark Stone Heart/Nehantic Stone, provide spell immunity like it says on the card, however it, currently, does not block players from attaching spell cards to you, it just blocks the damage or effects of the cards attached, so Vital Syphon or Magic Poison will be attached to your character, but your character will not receive any damage from the cards
