Re : Make the Destiny Duo (Watchmaker and Apostle) saleable

Real worth is the price that people are willing to spend on it, not the price you are willing to spend on it. If they want to buy it for 200k the real price is somewhere around it.

like i (and others) previously stated - the problem here is the price is just too much. Can it be helped if idiots keep a card overly inflated by wasting their crystals on it - no it cant - Idiots will always be idiots. However, band together and boycott the purchase on a card will "solve" said problem this thread is discussing.

And just because someone is dumb enough to pay 200k for one DOES not mean that is what it is worth.

If a store sold a twinkie for $100.00 - does that mean all of the stores twinkies are worth "somewhere around" $100.00?

Re : Make the Destiny Duo (Watchmaker and Apostle) saleable

there will always be people who are willing to pay a premium...
the only thing which can be done about that is to impose a luxury tax.
have those cards which are very expensive have a 35% or even 50% sales tax as opposed to the normal 10%.
this will make it less worthwhile to sell for so high, and will rapidly remove crystals from the economy.
give it a few weeks of higher taxes and prices should rapidly fall for the high tier cards.

Here's an amusing little bit, since we're discussing card prices.  Right now, [card]Anryena[/card] level 1 is up for sale, 3 listings, for 2,450-2,500.  The level 2 version has 10 listings total, the lowest 2 are for 2,300, the next lowest 2 are for 2,500.  So it is now cheaper to buy the level 2, final version then it is to get the basic one.

Not really. Some people NEED said cards and have no other way to get them. It's like paying bills by taking out a loan, it'll cost you a shit ton more than what you should be paying, but it's the price you have to pay to get what you need.

It's a card game, for what purpose do you need these cards ? Life support ?

I suggested a 50k sale on the store simply because it would drive down the price people are willing to buy it to 50k- and people are going to start selling it for such a price => the price will be fixed because of the infinite supply.

ATM the supply is limited and as long as there are people willing to spend 200k on a card and people willing to sell it for 200k .. the worth of the card IS 200k. As the supply/demand shifts the value of the card shifts as well. The demand won't shift simply because the people having the money for those cards do not (and SHOULD NOT) care about the people who don't have the money for them.

On a side/unrelated note: You can't force people not to buy it simply because other people don't have the resources for it ... That's pretty much a dumb idea.

"Of course they don't want that (adding more crystals to the game) to happen, because then the outrageous card prices would drop"

So MUCH stupidity in one sentence xD

Re : Make the Destiny Duo (Watchmaker and Apostle) saleable

The point here for Watchmaker being so high? The double XP event. Was it bad? Hell no, was fun, helped alot of people. Why does Watchmaker sell for so much? Unlocks good high end chars, and with the XP event, they can be accessed alot faster. But, Apostle does the same, although not so good unlocks, but still does unlock some. Anyways, the event is OVER...done, finished...Why keep the price up still?

I agree with the Make certain cards in store for fixed price...That should of been the case of Apostle and Watchmaker, since they unlock so many things. Personally, i find Helena, and Erevent a hell of alot more useful than that Watchmaker, and they sell for what, 18K max...Yup, Noz decks are very powerful too, and dont need a lv 6 character as of yet...So make watchmaker 30-35k...That would make sense

Also, there are like what, 5-6 people having Watchmaker in the market now...Dont buy from them, ask them to lower price, and eventually and hopefully, it will

And yes, some cards have weird price tags, like Gluttony 20k, Obesity 20k...at one point, Gluttony was higher...Even characters that used to be 40k (Fenrath) sell for 6k at max lvl...I would pay 1-2k more, and have it maxed, than level it up...Some cards like RoD, The last action, Abomination and such...they are worth their price because its too damn expensive to get them, or too long to level, but Watchmaker, thats absurd...It unlocks characters, true, but takes forever too

Why keep the price up still?

Apparently people are paying for it, otherwise it'd go down.

Im not saying its cool, Im just saying that theres obviously demand at 200k for it. Once people can't afford to pay that or refuse to pay that amount, it'll go down.

If there were no luck in TCG, how boring would that be?

Well, the market could have a maximum price for some important items...So players can get better decks without having to pay so much real money
