Hi wildthing,

I thank you for putting up that point, as certainly other people might think that because it's a French game, almost everyone is French out there. Short answer: no.

Dedication isn't about numbers, although it certainly helps smile

Depending on what you look at, French players are about the same as English, Portuguese, Italian and Spanish, in terms of numbers. Or they are 3rd after Spanish and English, looking at other numbers. You can see French aren't out of your league, far from it wink

I blame noone by the way. I just put out some cold facts that seem to be counter-intuitive to some players. If anyone wants to participate, you have two major (but not only) options:

- create useful threads, that I am sure bleachman, myself or Dantesan will be happy to pin, if after a while they do prove very useful to everyone ;

- or participate in the wiki, and grow its pages in numbers and in quality. French players have made a topic on the subject, where people keep themselves informed of what they did, where, and ask for any missing feature (I do help putting into pages missing pictures for example, when asked in this thread). There are plans to improve the wiki further, in order to make it more user-friendly, but this is mid-term planning.

We are a community, you're all part of it, and I am part of it too. It may seem a bit hyppie, but open source projects have the same philosophy: share and improve the overall community knowledge. As a Community Manager I would like to set that up with all of you, but I cannot do it alone.

sorry for spam haven't learned how to multiquote yet, but anyhow i appreciate the information and am surprised that they are similar.

Well about the first point about creating useful threads for me that is hard to find because since I went through almost every section of the forum and almost every post it gets hard to find something that is new to me.

well honestly I found the wiki just fine for me, i read most of it when i was newer and wouldnt know what else to add honestly, plus i never edited a wiki in my life and don't want to ruin it or spread something false i don't know everything there is to know yet so personally so what i do is wait so that i have collected the most knowledge i can get before going into something, it doesnt help to do things with only partial information. Also i took a quick look at some of the older posts in some parts of the english area and the older threads seem like they had less replys and the newer threads seem to have more replys, leading me to believe that the english community is getting more active, i could be wrong though. Another part is that it could be by age if the avg age of players in european regions is older they may just naturally drawn to discuss, or maybe they spend more time here or really it could be lots of reasoning. I am just throwing ideas out there

let me just say this though, that i was a bit upset about that topic for one reason that i thought it may have been important to the present game and i had no idea what it was, at least putting something in english an explanation when it went up would have been nice.

also i wanted to know what you meant by "You are free to post within these topics, or create similar topics that can be passed onto me later on if you wish." if you were referring to the french nomad topic if so then that is a bit hard to do as i don't understand a bit of french and i am sure translators would destroy the translation to kingdom come, so i feel it is a bit harder to do those things also i honestly don't see what needs to posted most of the time, if i have a question i usually go the english chat not the boards but if it will inspire to not make topics french exclusive then i would do my best, but for the discard deck example why i wouldnt personally make a thread or post in it is because the ones i have ran across it has really been a toss up sometimes i win sometimes i lose if i had a real problem with the uber ones i would make a topic possibly but i havent crossed that bridge yet, i think a lot may be in my same shoes or maybe not.

In short i am a bit saddened that it went down this way but i can understand both sides of the anger. I will also stop before i embarrass myself with more incoherent ramblings. Also i realised some of what i said could be taken in a harsh tone i honestly don't mean it that way just trying to hit this from all sides.

In my opinion there should be more english speaking people than any one given language simply because if there isn't a dedicated forum in one's language that person will, I think, go to the english one.
So I think that the english community should at least be as active as the french one but it doesn't appear to be so.

well i thought most of the languages were covered, and i thought that a lot of european and french and even some canadian players might go to the french side, whereas i don't see a lot of french players coming to the english one, though i have seen a couple but again i could be wrong because i haven't paid special attention to their language or what have you.

Hello, yeah i have read the thread and your post lonak and this isn't a slam or anything but more of a thought i had about one particular point you made. Now i don't have the numbers but i would almost bet dollars to donuts that there are more french/Europeans on the game which by having more players gives a greater chance for one of them posting. If i am wrong about that i would gladly concede the point but if I am correct about that guess than it really isnt through any fault of our own that less updates/topics/wiki/what have you happen. Just thought i would put that out there on the table is all.
