#1 Re : Bugs » I can not connect. » 21-10-2011 00:22:27

I am experiencing the exact same symptoms. I purchased Fee'z, bought a pack, opened it, bought a pack, opened it, bought a 3rd pack and got disconnected. I have been attmepting to reconnect for approximately an hour now and it keeps telling me that there is another account logged in.

It seems to me that disconnects are not being dropped from the server if they are on the pack opening page or something. There is no reason my account should stay active after I stay logged out for 15 minutes.

I don't mean to sound crass, but I have spent hundreds of dollars (thousands, even) on this game and am not comfortable with my account being stuck logged in.

Please provide some sort of answer as to why this would happen, other than "it's a busy night".

Is it possible to get a clearer translation for The Revealing One trophy for English? The current wording is sketchy at best. For those who have not seen it:

"Player, 12 parties with one Mage in your Deck against different players. During these parties, Mage must achieve these 4 actions in the following order: player a action then player an item then player a spell then participate in a fight with an outcome where at least one opposing character dies. (These 4 actions can help you achieve several turns)."

Umm...

Does this mean ONLY one mage in your deck?
Does it mean play 12 games or WIN 12 games?
Does is mean accomplish the 4 point chain 12 times?

Needless to say, it's unclear for the English translation.

Please help.

Thank you.

Well perhaps the translation is not clear then, the trophy leads me to believe you need to have 1 warrior alive and 1 non-warrior alive at the end of the game. It reads on my screen as follows:

You imperatively need one warrior character amongst your characters and at least one non-warrior characters must be alive when the game ends.

If that means having ONLY one warrior in your deck, then I guess that is my mistake. Not a clear piece of text if that is the case.

I just obtained a perfect victory with Lord Galmara, Xin the Ironbringer, and Psalm. I got no credit towards the trophy. It was the first game I have played since the trophy came out.

#5 Re : Suggestions » Elo » 08-02-2011 01:05:22

The ELO format works perfectly the way it is. It's just that the really "competitive" players don't want to run the risk of losing to something they have never seen or a bad player or whatever. They want consistency in a game that involves chance.

Leave it the way it is, don't cater to people who just want to keep their place atop the pile. Having breakpoint ELO rooms just ensures that those who are high in ranking don't suffer for bad luck.

#6 Re : Suggestions » The Level-up Room » 08-02-2011 00:58:36

The funny thing here is that you all said you were leveling cards. I have no problem with that at all, in fact, I too level cards with max characters.

@Glasher - You want to dominate in the ELO room, that's fine, but why even bother wasting your time playing your Tracker or Pack deck? You completely illustrated my point that people who play "maxed" decks are just in their to stroke their ego. If you are concerned with being competitive, then you wouldn't even play 2nd Tier decks. But obviously you do, and thus you aren't being duplicitous in your statement. The level-up room should not be a place to "slum it" with decks that are maxed out, but not able to compete in the ELO rooms. Build better decks.

@Erezil - I concede that seeking trophies is problematic for the suggestion I gave, as I want to get them done in a timely manner as well. That's why it was a suggestion, something to be tweaked, I guess.

@jspruill - Yeah, I guess quitting is an option, but it frustrates me when people do that to me, so I try not to do it back.

It wasn't a perfect suggestion, but there is some serious disparity in the level-up room decks. Getting to level 11 takes very little time, and can be very discouraging for entry level players to face very well-tuned Tier 2 decks when they are just trying make their decks better.

And no, I am not complaining about it, I am just trying to see if there is a better balance. I have been playing for months now, and have slogged through endless losses just to get a deck where it wants to be. If you want to criticize the suggestion, criticize the suggestion, not what you believe me to be complaining about.

There needs to be some way to adjust the ridiculous number of people who are doing nothing but inflating their ego in the level-up rooms. There should be no reason that decks that are fully leveled, down to the last card, should be in the level-up rooms. Simply put, they are just in there because they want to win against poor decks/players.

If indeed a deck is fully leveled, the player should not be rewarded with crystals and/or XP for beating someone who is working on improving their deck. If they want to earn cash and XP, they should have to do it in the ELO room - you get more there anyhow.

I understand that sometimes people may want to "test" their decks, but in that case, they should not be rewarded if they aren't gaining anything by being there. There are far too many people in the level-up rooms who have nothing to gain, and not nearly enough in the ELO rooms for those who want to play against people.

My suggestion is one of two options:

1. If a deck contains max level cards only, or cards that are completely full on XP (for cards that perhaps you want to keep at a lower level), those players should not earn any XP or crystals. This will drive those players who actually want to earn more to the ELO rooms to create a more competitive environment for the higher end players. This option would only apply after level 11, the last breaking point for rooms.

2. Give players the option of either not playing against, or leaving fights with fully leveled decks BEFORE a game starts. That allows the players who are trying to level up cards and characters a chance to compete at a reasonable pace by not having to play against obvious mismatches (ie; Lvl 1 characters vs Lvl 4 characters) in the level up room. Also, this reinforces moving to the ELO room for fully leveled decks, as it would get boring not playing against anyone who opts out of playing you all day.

I suggest these options both as someone who wants to level up cards at a reasonable pace AND as someone who wants to see more competition in the ELO rooms.
